I'd recommend Harvester + Beat/Franken/Hammer in going for the Flower/Astro, unless you're specifically missing a bunch of other bots as well. Letting Caterpillars into the mix is just asking for long breeding times for something you don't need.

Hmm. I'm not sure if your suggestions would qualify in the Astro competition, though. Last I heard, we were sticking with four-element crosses? I see a few three/two-element crosses in the confirmed list, but none of these produce Flower. The only reason I want Flower is to get rid of that stupid "get a Flower" quest that I've been stuck with since I got the game. You'd think after several crosses and a month, I'd have it. It's supposed to be COMMON. Ugh.

We are using any 2 hybrids, feel free to use your imagination. koala!
Yup, I think we've established now that any two hybrid bots (even two of the same bot) will give a chance at the Astro. I got my second one from Grav+Grav, and Safety+Welder is another good combo if you can check in often during the day to reset your lab.
We don't yet know whether you can get an Astro from a hybrid + a base bot; I've been trying Magnet+Science for a while now, with no sign of an Astro from that pairing. My best guess at the moment is that two hybrids are necessary.
