Wow I finally got my second garnet, for my display egg, breeding on the island. I have been using both the cave and the island since the bring em back ended. Now I can move on to breeding for the shrine grind and food. I have 2 gold shrines already.

Hello all, Just an update to say I have not seen hide or hair of the garnet dragon yet, but certainly there seems to be no shortage of Lava dragons in my park. Hope the garnet fairies will be showing up soon.
I will send you a koala gem when the thingie does refresh.

I'm finally out! Got my first Garnet after countless fails! I just hope my second one for display won't be so far behind. Also got my Hail on first try with Cold+Lightning, so good start of the day on this side of the 'Vale. Koala to those still trying!

Finally managed to get my dragons in line and they are working on that display egg now. I'll keep trying for a mini garnet until it hatches (maybe a little longer). Point of this story, is that my gems should still have a little luck left in them, so hopefully it triggers the garnet for those of you still trying (as I'm sending them to those in my list still in the competition as available).
I have tried many times and have not been able to get this dang dragon. Are gem dragons always this hard? This is my first time trying. I am at over 30 tries.

Yep, they are really hard to get. I never got the Emerald, Pearl, or Peridot in their certified months, but was able to get 2 out of the 3 from the Bring em Back event. Just keep trying for them!
