Poutine is not a breakfast dish. Think of it as an upgrade for your fries. If fries are an appropriate side, then so is Poutine. Though poutine is more of a complete meal...
I told my husband of poutine so we had it for dinner. And not as a side dish either; it was the main event. Probably not a proper poutine as I see that it should served with cheese curds, and we cannot get those here. I've had cheese curds before though and liken it to manna from heaven. Still, it was delicious
