I don't know how it's for you all, but for me Promethium is the ugliest Dragon ever. I think both of them will have to hibernate for a long time. Maybe I 'll adjust...
Just hatched my first Prom., it is hard to describe him...part rhino, part ram, part dino. He is not so bad when he is a baby. Turbo baby he will be.

It's fun having so many new dragons but challenging to find space for them. This isn't really a complaint; it's simply another aspect to manage. (I believe it was Bloodstone that recently presented the math of number/types of habitats needed.) I finally spent gems to be able to add an extra habitat and might do so again.

I agree with Greg that it sounds a bit sad, although I have to admit it's done in mine also. I already had one from BEB, so only needed to breed a second. I actually felt a bit of a let-down when my very first breed of Cactus + Flower on the EBI gave me 5 hours! Although it's a pretty egg, so I guess I can try for that while waiting for Rose.

I think this is the first time I can remember that a new dragon has been released and a whole day passed without comment by someone who's managed to breed it!
Is NO-one trying for Mirage or Shadow, or have all the old faithfuls deserted the camp?
If anyone is listening, these two are proving VERY difficult to breed, and I'd really like to know that someone has been more successful than me.
Also a couple of my regular gem exchangers appear to have dropped off the radar, so if anyone would like to take their place, just let me know - but please don't knock me over in the rush!

Well i am trying. (My wife says VERY trying. But that's another context.) But I am having about as much luck as you seem to be. I did take time out with rift+lightning as I have no magic lightnings yet, so this will give me good "fails". But that is just one site in one park. The other three sites have been trying non stop since the announcement.

I've been trying for the new hybrids since their release with no joy, with fails like cave, glass & root they're not exactly quick ones. I am enjoying the challenge though, most of the new dragons have been way too easy to obtain lately. Hybrids are supposed to be more difficult to breed and I'm fine with that.
In my little park I never managed to get a Garnet I was trying from the end of BEB... hope I have better luck with Amethyst

Got Love after a day of trying so very happy as it was one Dragon I really wanted! Going back to trying for the illusive Garnet now. I was concerned that the opposite of love was a Hate Dragon I had missed :-)
I ihave been breeding for the new dragons, just not the newest. I now have both acids (one in the cave, one incubating). Decided to work on metal/light and dark/light at the same time.
The combo should be light + darkhybrid for shadow and dark + lighthybrid for mirage
I haven't got one yet, but I only had 4 tries so far and they are opposites, they should be a bit more difficult. As I allready have the metal + light/dark dragons, I'm using light + fungus and dark + meadow to get at least a lot of money out of the fails.
If you don't have all of the metalhybrids yet ( but eventually one) you can use Light + acid or promethium and Dark + palladium or radiant To get a shot at both.

I finally have both of them using the combo proposed by the Sandbox namely: Mirage: dark and sand dragons Shadow : light and root dragons Took me numerous tries (and gems) but got both in the epic islands, all levels were 16. Each combo can give 5 different outcomes, the longest ones being the desired Mirage and Shadow.
This morning I got shadow incubating on the island with light and acid (I still needed promethius and radiant) I got radiant yesterday and now promethius is incubating in the cave with dark and palladium, no mirage yet... but I'm getting ready to shift all attention to amethyst...
