First try, I threw Love and Rose in the Cave. Moonstruck! Whew! With only a short time to breed it, it reminded me of Leap Year and Emerald. Didn't we have a matter of hours to try for Leap Year when it first showed up? And Emerald wasn't much better. I barely scraped one of each at the last minute. This was before the first BEB event, so it was frantic breeding there for a bit.

Koala must be flowing all around today. I managed to get a Rose and an Amethyst on the first try! Now to work on getting that Love so I can try for the Moonstruck.
Under normal circumstances, I would be absolutely thrilled to be getting my second DR . . . But Moonstruck is limited. Oh well, both sites are going full force for this moon beauty
I caught a Double Rainbow also. I think my level 20 Love is causing problems.

Have had no luck lately. Hoping that my luck will return for moonstruck.
Same with me. I have only one Mirage, no Shadow, and no Snolys, and I just get a 39:24 on my island. I hope it's a Seasonal as I have way, way too many Rainbows. Hoping us all better Koala.
My nursery is all clogged up with Snolys - only bronze and good, silver is very elusive. No mirage or shadow and I have been trying almost non- stop for them. However on the plus side I have got almost all the dark & light hybrids and eggs, so all is not lost. Had 3 goes at moonstruck so far, no luck, but no really long fails either. I'm sure persistence will pay off eventually!

Nice that you got a gold already, congrats! Keep trying for the Moonstruck, we have such a short window for success!
I have got 2 shadows ( put crumbles right after the first one to work again and it did), no mirage and no snolies. Yesterday evening I went with all forces for moonstruck. Burned through nearly 400 (!) gems but now it's in the cave. Among the fails were 1 DR 2 seasonal 1 rainbow So now trying for the second moonstruck, but at a much relaxedter pace. I hope we can breed moonstruck with a moon-limited if we don't get a second in time ?
My nursery is clogged up anyway.

So…we have only 4 days to get this new Moonstruck dragon, and I end up with a Double Rainbow fail on the 2nd try. I'm trying to save up my gems so I can expand my Hibernation Cave and really don't want to have to spend 48 gems to speed up the breeding. This is going to be a frustrating few days!

Both mine are level 15, and I got a DR fail, which I'll be selling (already have 2 + the egg). Sigh...

I agree, waggintail! That line always makes me giggle - one of the best deliveries of a line, too. My mom's side is Italian, and I can totally see one of them saying it just like that! Look for a pm to coordinate receipt of your gem.
Edit: Ever since posting the quote, I've had the song "That's Amore" stuck in my head. Which I have to admit is much better than a certain jingle you all subjected me to the other day...
I wonder if the Moonstruck Dragon's breeding requirement of Love and Rose means that future limited dragons for special occasions will also require the previously released limited dragons to breed? Like maybe a Ghost and Bone for the next Halloween dragon, or a Mistletoe and Reindeer for Christmas? Perhaps this is one of the changes we'll see in DV 2.0.

I had to spend quite a few gems trying for Moonstruck but finally got it. Both level 16 on the EBI. I will be trying to get a second one, but do not intend to use any more gems. I really don't know how people got so lucky to get one second try! I wonder what level the dragons were and if it really makes any difference. Perhaps it's just luck.
I got a Seasonal on the way (which I really didn't need, especially not right now).

Is anyone having trouble with the android version after the Moonstruck addition? My park crashes if I try to open Dragons or Decorations in the Market. Everything else seems fine. I've powered my phone off/on a couple of times. Before I resort to reinstalling DV I thought I would check. One good thing - Rose finally showed up in my second park.
I got Moonstruck on my third try in the EBI after two (sped up with gems) Fireflies. I used level 11 Love and level 10 Rose.
My SnOly from last night is Bronze, so now I just need the Gold. I have another one cooking away in the EBC just now, hoping my lucky streak holds out and it's a Gold. *crosses fingers*
Well out of gems and so far I've gotten two double rainbows, one rainbow and a seasonal, finally got a moonstruck but now hatchery is full, guess I just have to wait it out to try for one more for my egg display. Then I'm back trying for gold snowy Olympic dragon - no luck there.

Personally, I kinda like the idea and hope there will be more combinations like this.
Overall, it could be very exciting, but it could also be very stressful, especially for newer players.
However, I think I would have introduced the concept a bit differently.
The combination of a small breeding window with multiple 48h+ fails seems like a poor choice for a first run.
I will not be at all surprised if they have a gem sale this weekend as those factors combined will almost certainly generate revenue.
Keep in mind, they did warn us that we might one day be able to breed epic dragons with non epic dragons…
This also reinforces that it’s a good idea to keep two of each breedable dragon, even after the breeding rule changes.
