Now have rose love and moonstruck - very happy with that!
Back to the illusive amethyst now

I managed to get two moonstruck dragons. The first one was a nightmare, epic fails on both cave and island, a lot of gems spent... But, right after the breeding finished and I had the moonstruck egg incubating, I tried again and amazingly got another one right away. It makes me wonder if I should had been more patient and not spent so many gems...

I am back to my pursuit of the gold snoly now. It's so relaxing not being pressed for time.

After at least 23 attempts (I sold some fails before starting to keep track) and 50 to 75 gems, I still have 0 Moonstruck. My son managed 3 Moonstruck in 5 attempts. For all of us still frantically trying, I'll do the whining. WHINE, WHINE, WHINE. I'll add Koala to us all. At least my 48 hour was a Seasonal instead of my 12th Rainbow.

Nor here. Another day with lots of 7 and 8 hour fails, but no Moonstruck. Got another 14 hour incubating in the cave - that would be the 5th or 6th 14 hour since Rose came out. It's got to come up roses eventually, right? Which would let me devote both cave and isle to romantic moonlight...

I am posting to let everyone know that as of today I'm cutting ties with the game. My first gen iPad can't keep up, and I've already missed a lot since I haven't been able to get into my park in over a month. I want to thank you all for the gems you gifted me in the past and for all the great advice I got after joining this forum. I wish you all the best of luck on obtaining your dragons!

Now my hatchery is going to be plugged up with a DR and two 48 hours, leaving me only one spot free for another shot in a couple of days time, and I'm betting that one will also be a long term fail.

I had the same fails for Moonstruck - seasonal, double, and a rainbow in a row. Of course prior and after shorter hours fails too.

Update on my Ipad and thank you to all who provided me feedback as I was having trouble uploading DV on my Ipad 2. I resolved it my deleting a few apps and still could not get on the game, however, when I deleted the google's app. . .voila it worked. I guess the google app must take up a lot of memory.

Sorry to hear this, but can understand how you feel. The game really has grown into a monster that requires lots of resources.

Decided. What are gems for if not to use for something like this and started carefully gemming to keep my nursery full.

LESS than 100 gems later, I bred one! I'm working on a second, but not going to gem the same because I can always breed blue moon+moonstruck or something looking for it.

Will that still work when MS is no longer available? Is the rule that you just need one of the limiteds to breed another? I do hope so, I like the thought of being able to continue to try for another MS and also have a chance at my silver Snoly egg at the same time (breeding Moon or Blue Moon with Moonstruck)

Previously when BFS have said through the 16th, the dragon has gone sometime on the 17th

I don't know for sure if Moon + Moonstruck will work, but Blue Moon + Moonstruck ( or Lunar Eclipse/Solar Eclipse/Equinox + Moonstruck) wil work because it's an epic limited.
This will not work for limiteds with basic elements ( such as Rose or Love).

The 48 hour from Ash+Frostfire was my third Sun. Hail+Sonic loves giving me 8-hours.
