Wow. I just discovered that Kairos not only speeds up breeding, hatching, and munchies, but also the length of time to summon an island. I did not start lurking soon enough, and missed the bulletin.
Combo Mirage & Heat... Just bought the combo with 20 gems.
Wow you spent 20 gems & then shared the combo here. I had to come out of lurking to Thank You Noodles. That was very kind. you have also restored my faith in believing that there are still good people in the world. Very kind indeed.
And as koala would have it, most of the good people in the world use this forum!
I've decided I'm never going to "catch up" on posts, since I'm so busy with real life. So if you've said something interesting or funny since I last checked in, I'll just have to deal with not knowing. That said, it looks like things aren't going to slow down anytime soon, so feel free to PM me anytime. I'm pretty sure that gets forwarded to my email.
On to dragons! I had not tried to breed the second Dream habitat dragon, because both sites are busy with gem breeding. I finally got an amber a couple days ago, but Peridot is proving elusive. I can only hope for luck over the weekend, since now I'll have to switch one site to try for Sunstruck. Happy to see another 5 levels, which hopefully will also increase the habitat limits!

I just got Sunstruck! Level 18 dragons, on the island. It is past midnight here and the Tower is at day. No speeding up (just 2 gems to try one more time before bed). I had been wondering if this time I would have to spend a lot of gems, since it's limited and I wouldn't want to miss on it. If we got a last call and still no Sunstruck... But then I told my dragons to behave themselves or I would send them to GregDarcy's park. It actually worked. But only because they don't know that I would never do such an evil thing to them. Unfortunately I don't think it will work a second time so that I can get another one...

Now that the Sunstruck has made its appearance as a Sun counterpart to the Moonstruck, I'm a little annoyed that there is now an odd number of Celestial dragons!
I think my confusion comes from the fact that the Solstice is meant as a counterpart to the Blue Moon, but solstices are actually related to equinoxes in the calendar.
Note that this is just my desire to pair the Celestial dragons off neatly in equal pairs (I wouldn't call it OCD... not yet anyway) talking!
Maybe I'll just place my Equinoxes in the Celestial habitat for some symmetry...

I think my confusion comes from the fact that the Solstice is meant as a counterpart to the Blue Moon, but solstices are actually related to equinoxes in the calendar.
Note that this is just my desire to pair the Celestial dragons off neatly in equal pairs (I wouldn't call it OCD... not yet anyway) talking!
Maybe I'll just place my Equinoxes in the Celestial habitat for some symmetry...

Personally I have 2 each of every epic dragon. My arrangement after hatching Sunstruck will be as such
Large Sun: Sun, Solar Eclipse, Solstice Large Sun: Sun, Solar Eclipse, Solstice Large Moon: Moon, Blue Moon, Lunar Eclipse Large Moon: Moon, Blue Moon, Lunar Eclipse
This way, all 4 habitats will earning the same amount at the same time.
Then for the others,

Question- should I just spend 300 gems on a mirage egg or just use gems freely to try and get one ASAP......just built up my gem stash to 1000, had promised myself not to let it drop below

If you buy the egg you get the display pedestal which cannot be hatched. Keep trying, and feed your dragons when you can to raise their level. You will get one with patience.
Kindle park1: nearly all dragons are frolicking in their habitats! (A Thorny little problem to resolve...)
Smartphone park2: Geode, a dragon with rocks in! Still to breed 4 dragons...

I always come here first when a new dragon comes out... I wait as long as I can to see if anyone has been lucky to come up with the combo, last night I was busy so I decided to try and repay some of the kindness others have shown in posting combos and invested in the community by using 20 gems. It's all about helping one another in whatever way we can

I've just finished summoning the 11th island. It's really weird to have such unexpensive obstacles. Since I am in no immediate need of the extra space, I am going to save it for a possible upcoming event. During the last two events I had nothing to clear.

If you really want to have Sunstruck this time around, it may not be a bad idea to purchase Mirage at 300 gems.
Yes! My third breeding has given me a Sunstruck! Some much-needed luck, as I've had the worst dry spell. This impossibly hard leaf egg has really put me behind in my breedings lately. That shiny dragonarium had been getting farther and farther away... oh leaf, won't you comply? Still need daydream and goly to complete my collection, but I can't aim for my illusive goly again or daydream until I get the leaf and sunstruck eggs I'll be aiming for...
Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with my decoration-of-the-month (sun-kissed stone formation, hard to miss). So feel free to visit! ;D
