Just to let everyone know, several hours ago a player on Reddit posted a screenshot of a partial Instagram post stating that DV 'will keep running under new owners'. I searched for the original post on Instagram, and here it is in its entirety:
It’s not clear who the new owners are, but since Hasbro gained ownership in 2013, it’s not them. One thing I curiously keep coming back to is the 30%. BFS sold a 70% stake in the company to Hasbro. The owner(s) of the 30% might have an interest in retaining the game.
In addition to the mysterious new owners, it’s also not clear if DV will have new content, or if a bot will be involved. Perusing the replies to this IG post, there is some indication that the owners will operate DV in full with new content and ideas:
I just want to emphasise that EVERYTHING REMAINS SPECULATION UNTIL WE HEAR CONFIRMATION FROM BACKFLIP, HASBRO, AND/OR THE NEW OWNERS. While I don’t want to spread wild rumours or raise anyone’s expectations, I do want to keep forum members informed of what’s being discussed about DV on other social media sites.
It’s certainly something to discuss over Xmas dinner tonight. Enjoy!
Omg it really is Christmas! I read all the replies to that IG post. The OP says over and over like a dozen times that the game is going to continue with these new owners and they are "AMAZING!" If anyone wants some good news read the replies. She seems legit her IG has dragonvale stuff from 2017 to now but it is best to be cautious. You were right on about the layoffs and most people leaving in Oct that explains why there are more bugs and replies slower. It's good to know b/c now I know to be more patient with this event. I thought that maybe employees were disgruntled and didn't want to work or didn't care about the game and players. I hoped I was wrong and I could not have been more wrong. This employee loved her job so much she wept with joy! I've never done that. There's a lot of love in this game and I'm sorry I doubted it. I hate to disagree, but there are still three non event dragons that do not have quests in the Wiki - Dash, Riptide and Razzle are all 'questless'.

PSA: if you breed Yolkwing hatch first BEFORE selling
Bring ‘em Back has brought back some limited dragons with selling discrepancies. If you sell Yolkie before hatching you’ll receive 250,000 DC. But if you hatch first, then sell, you’ll earn 2,500,000 DC.
Yolkwing is a possible fail in the Rift while trying for any dragon if at least one of the breeding parents has a fire trait. (Fire Rift + Fire Rift is the only combo with a fire trait that I have found will not produce Yolkwing.)

Just bought the prismatic pantheon and I’m totally confused. Trying to find a hidden gift and used the settings { none * visitors * epic} and { none * visitors * air} . I found a purple gift but it still shows I have I gift somewhere. Do we have an instruction manual?
Edit: Restarted game to move gift and was able to find it, a purple one. Yes, I was using path mode. Thought I lost my visitors until I toggled epic and basic. So, epic colors the flag bearers and Santa, etc?

Could anyone please assist me, as to how I might be able to get “Drew’s DV spreadsheet to end all DV spreadsheets” onto my iPad mini, ??
I had my own hand written spreadsheet ( more like pages and pages in a notebook lol), but can’t find it anywhere! (1) Install the Google Sheets app on your iPad, if you don’t already have it (you’ll need to sign-up if you’re new to the app). (2) Click on the DV Spreadsheet link, open the document in Google Sheets. (3) Go to Menu (the three dots in the upper right corner) > Share & export > Make a copy.
You’ll be able to rename, edit, and save this copy as your own spreadsheet.

I'm eagerly awaiting more news on this "new owners" thing!! I'm sure we all are. No other little hints?
I haven’t heard anything new. If I do, this forum will be the first to know.
It is weirdly silent, but I get the distinct impression they’re purposely being super secretive. The verified DragonVale IG account is now private ☹️. I only recently installed IG to view the BFS employee’s post that I linked here last week, but I can’t imagine this is the normal state of the account (it’d be a terrible marketing strategy). There were probably lots of players asking questions and carrying on discussions in their replies. It looks like in an effort to control the spread of gossip and minimise DV conversations, they cut off access to the account.
Hopefully when the event concludes all will be revealed.

Thanks for this adlerist. I’ll let you know in a couple of days if I got it. This morning my grandbaby, went to emergency with a fever and achy elbow. They say it is “septic arthritis” on her little elbow, she’s not quite 2yo yet. She’s in surgery now, we are waiting. I popped in to take my mind off it for moment.
