I'm just going to put this out there in case DECA is seeing this.
There is going to be a blue moon on Halloween this year. We already have a Blue Moon dragon, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we got an extra special, limited edition Halloween Blue Moon dragon as part of the annual Whitbee's Candy Bash?
Its breeding pair could be Harvest Moon and Blue Moon. Think about it. If DECA misses this, they'll be missing a great opportunity to make something truly unique and highly collectable.
I almost missed this posts amid all the other posts!
This is an outstanding idea for Hallowe’en, and I let Deca know you suggested it. I don’t know if they will incorporate it into the event, but they gave it a 👍 approval, so they like it, and that’s a pretty good start. Cheers!
Woot! Finally got a Clairvoyant, from a mystery egg 😊 How do I work out what group in the dragonarium Clairvoyant is listed under, please? I can find it, the dragon, but can’t find the classification 🤪 Thanks for guidance

Congrats on Clairvoyant. You can find it in the Dragonarium under Special and Vernal.
Quick question, if I move a dragon with a rift element into my main park, and use it in a breeding cave, is there a possibility of breeding a rift dragon? Or will all offspring from the normal caves be riftless?

That was one of my main questions when I came back. The answer is: riftless, always riftless.

I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

Thanks @dreamn, so my followup q is; how do you work backwards from any dragon to their group, in the dragonarium, or is that not possible? I realise we can just search and search through each group/category, til you find the dragon and then press reverse arrow but I wondered if there was a backward structure. I don’t think I’m being very clear; you know how the d’arium is structured to open down layer by layer, until you get to the dragon you’re after, if you tap the the top buttons...can we do the same if we start with the dragon, and back out somehow, if what you want is not the dragon but it’s classification gah, I don’t know if that is any more clear 🤪

Awesome! So I can quickly breed a limited, and if it’s rifted, move it to the main park to breed a natural version.
Kiwichris I looked on wiki and it was released during the Spring event, has a cold pedestal, is a rare non-epic dragon. I checked under elementals and cold, not there. Only other option was the special group. I checked celebration then vernal and found it. Process of elimination worked here but, someone else might have a different method?

This is the only way I know how to do it too. It doesn’t say on the dragon’s information what their categories are so you just have to go through all the categories it could be and see if it’s there.
First, I’m new around here but wanted to toss in my congrats on the new grand baby. Enjoy!
Second, I’d like to know if a month of trying for a Jade dragon with no luck is normal, or if I’ve missed something. I’m using a lvl 16 plasma and lvl 16 salamander in the enchanted breeding cave. I’ve had multiple of every possible offspring (correct term?) EXCEPT a jade 😖. Let me know if it is possible to breed a jade with lvl 16 dragons in the enchanted cave, or if I should switch to trying in the sanctuary, or just give up.
It’s just RNG luck, or bad luck. You can definitely breed Jade with level 16 Plasma and Salamander. Still have two weeks before Jade expires — keep persevering! Here’s a couple koalas for added luckiness:
Thank you for the Koalas and confirming I can do it - a week later and still no luck. 8 days left so *fingers crossed*. For the newbie, what is RNG luck?
So, stupid question, still dreaming of blue fire (and beginning to realize it’s a lot further than I thought):
Can every dragon except legendary, mythic and rifty exclusives have a twin? Does that mean the basic elements too? So are there currently 556 possible?

edit: Corrected math to include all rifies.
Yes, that’s correct. Legendary, mythic, and Rift exclusives do not have twins.

Random Number Generator. It just means the mathematical algorithm generates random numbers so the the game is basically luck-based.

With the release of the two today I have the total at 558. I keep my signature updated pretty regular if you need to use that for reference. I do keep the Ghostly dragons separate just for my liking but you can add those to get the total. It is a daunting task going through the dragonarium to check for twins. We sooooo need a twin section. I just add new dragons to my wishlist to keep track and I also keep a notebook.
I would add that some people have a few rift exclusive twins and/or twin pedestals. I have a couple myself but they are not required for blue fire. If you had a Light or Dark rift twin before the rift event, if you picked a twin at the end of the rift event as the last day gift or if you were able to get a Spore twin during the glitch I posted about long ago those still show up as twins. I don’t add these to my count though.
Oh and one helpful thing is to go for the primary dragons during twin weekend. You can knock them all out very quickly if you have a friend to put them up for you. If you need ghostly primaries go for those first as the regulars can be a fail for those.
Koala 🐨 Blue fire is very difficult but an amazing dragon accomplishment!!!

Ah... thank you - didn’t know what the acronym stood for. I’m obviously having a streak of really bad luck. I’ve been breeding non-stop for over a month with no luck 😒

You could trying breeding in the Rift. It takes a long time in the Vale because breeding fails are so lengthy. I bred Jasper, Jade, and two Peridots in the Rift this week because I needed the traited pedestal version of each and the Peridot dragon traited.

I need a new island. The last one is filing up fast, but I'm still two levels away from getting another island.
I could level up some more primaries with treats, but I've burned through those quite a bit lately. Guess I'll have to have a bit of patience and start growing more food. 🌿 🌶 🍄 🍊
