Maybe the reason why they're starting the next event so soon is so their annual camping trip doesn't run over into October this time. That's what caused a delay in the Halloween event last year.
It was the Eggy Hatchy bug that prevented Camp DV from starting on time (Camp DV was the first Eggy event), which delayed the Hallowe’en event. It was a long domino effect.

Edit: Can’t help by notice that Ignis is really letting his campfire burn out of control. A bit of a hazard.

If this is indeed a house event, maybe the fishy one is Hidden Bolt? It fits the anglerfish vibe.
Another idea is that they could be golden hybrids; i.e. the angler on the sign could be Water/Lightning and the one roasting the marshmallow could be Cold/Water. We're also missing Earth/Fire, and the one on top of Ignis could match that too.
Just an idea, but we'll know for sure tomorrow!

Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot that was when we had the Eggy Hatchy game for the first time. Maybe we'll see it return for this event. I have to admit I like playing it now that they've made some improvements. Still a bit tricky, but I can at least win a couple rounds instead of failing miserably.

It feels like the last camping trip was just three months ago. Why is this the first non-holiday event they stuck with?
No hope for BEB within the year or an extravaganza.
I am entirely too lazy to deal with the sheer clutter (edit - right now at least, too late and I'm too tired, as evidenced by my forgetting to actually include the context I'd intended to), but I'm morbidly curious how much XP bar progress I'll get when I clear out most of an entire island's worth of surplus pedestals with an XP boost running and then go after all the Large Treasure Habitats I dumped the rest of my currency from the pirate event on (bred everything except Trove which I forgot to buy so I had oodles to spare even without ever actually managing to complete a donation board). >->
Though I just went to have a look, and there is no equivalent tab under Decorations. There is still 302 "Celebration" decorations. Do you know if that is something they're going to amend?
T’ashien’s activation cost has been lowered from 1000 to 750.
This is cool too. Has there been a call to reduce the price? I didn't use it till double days during the last event, and I pretty much had enough to do it every one of those. I've got 2242 right now.

I’ll inquire about Celebration.
There have been lots of requests to fix Ts’aishen because it takes ~6 years to fully upgrade 🥴. This fix is minor and won‘t change that, but it’s a step in the right direction.

I feel like this is a cause for celebration. Deca has been so good to us - trying new things, letting us create our own dragons for the game, and now we can finally send more gems to our friends.
I have several people on my friends list. I've actually made a list of who is on it and it's become a chart with days of the week so I can try to eventually distribute gems to everyone. Being able to gift twelve instead of seven will make things so much easier, I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am!
This is wonderful news. I'm so excited about the new event too. I can't wait to get started.

It’s 2.5 hours to reset. Deca must be getting ready for the new event. My dragonarium is showing three new dragons; Aperture (the ghostly wisp), Burrow (the glow bug) and Zipzap. Zipzap is in the new Camping category, no image or pedestal yet, and it’s not available, for breeding. Aperture’s pedestal is the golden version Ice. Burrow’s pedestal is the golden version of Obsidian.
So, should we level up now, or wait? The message from DECA made it seem like they might reverse it.

I only need 12 more dragons until I breath fire once again! 🤗 9 of them are Ghosties, shouldn’t be that difficult. 🐨 The others are Corrupticorn, which is out of the question until I am able to get all the Flames to evolve it, and Tettacotta and Quintessence
These three off days, I’m trying for Quintessence with @crickzilla 🙏🏻 My first timer was 1:22:00, a Bronze. Two off days gone. I just reset the breed, two hours before we get to the campsite, and what do I get?!?!? Another 1:22:00!!! 😡🤬 If it was going to be a long timer, why not 2:02:00?!? But no, another Bronze 🙄
