Thank you so much for all the useful information, guys. You've all been very helpful.
Years ago someone told me that DragonVale only worked on iOS and Android, which is why I asked that question because I honestly wasn't sure. That's also why I made sure the last tablet I bought was an Android, just in case, because that's what I started playing DragonVale on.
I'm not worried about the transfer anymore, now that you've given me the information I need. I have my park ID saved, and Fletch, thank you for the link. Now I just need to find something with a decent amount of RAM for an affordable price.
We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.
Any guesses about when the next event will begin? I want to keep breeding but I don't want to take the chance of clogging up all caves with long fails.
I think they extended BEB. This morning mY countdown started showing an additional 7 days.
I noticed the counter said "07" when I logged in today, but I didn't realize that was the Days column. I sure hope they have really extended it! I've had lots of koala with random breeding to fill in blanks.
For anyone who wants to learn from my stupidity, I can now see where all my billions of dragoncash has gone to. On 19 April - as I posted in the Billionaires Club section of this forum - I had bought the most recent island and still had 57 billion dragoncash. I was bemoaning the fact that I didn't know what to spend it on!!!
This morning I can now SEE that I inadvertently spent it ALL on the Treat Farms. Instead of doing my usual replacement of pumpermelons or another low yielding seed, I'd somehow switched to buying Kraken Cabbages. I hadn't noticed my pantry stuffed to bursting with its current 2,393,375,892 treats!!!!!
Do you think there's any hope that DECA will return the dragoncash? I don't mind if they want to punish me by removing ALL my treats so I have to begin stocking the pantry from scratch.
How could anyone be so stupid?
Cecilia at the Duckpond
Even if they can't help, at least it's not a complete loss. The only thing I ever spend gold on in the game is treats and new islands, but then I tend to pick up islands with wishes now. Given the rarity of seeing new islands and a new wish every 100 days, you're likely covered on the island front for quite some time. You'll be back at 50 billion+ eventually, and you've spent the gold on the most useful thing in game - treats!
Thanks for that Quil. It's made me feel a little better (but no less stupid!) I suppose I'll never have to buy treats again - and I do have two unspent wishes should another island pop up.
I haven't had any response from DECA, although I sent my passionate tale of woe from within the game, which I thought was the best way to do it. Perhaps I'll send another message admitting my own error and see if that get's a reply of some sort. Cecilia at the Duckpond
Would someone please help me find information about evolving dragons? And Ghostly Dragons? I wasn't playing when they started and I have searched the archives but I must not be very good at it because I'm just getting snippets of information not the whole explanation. I appreciate any help you can give me.

I was on a bit of a hiatus then as well. A short cut explanation of the evolving dragons and their purpose would really be appreciated by me also. 😊

Ghostly dragons were the very first evolved dragons. You need to buy the effigies for Plant, Fire, Earth and Cold, and then you can evolve the elementary dragons into their ghostly counterparts. You can read an example at dragonvale.fandom.com/wiki/Ghostly_Plant_Dragon?mobile-app=false
You can then breed the ghostly primaries together to get the ghostly hybrids, according to very specific breeding rules.
The effigies are not usually available, so grab them now while you can.
The other evolved dragons work on a similar process, but require all 10 colours of a certain decoration in order to evolve a specific dragon into a new type. You can buy a kit that includes all 10 decorations and a dragon to evolve, and they are currently all in special now, if you go to the decorations section of the market.
From what I understand, the only way to get a pedestal, is to breed 2 of the dragons together, as you can’t evolve an egg in the hatchery or a pedestal.

Thank you for your answer. I took a look in the market but all I see are ghost hybrids, I don't see a Ghostly Plant, Fire, Earth or Cold available, am I just overlooking them? Also, I just want to verify, other than purchasing the special evolve dragon sets from the market, there isn't any other way to achieve an evolved dragon at this time.

To answer your second question first, you might be able to get them when buying mystery eggs.
To answer your first question, no, you can't buy the Ghostly primaries. You have to evolve a primary dragon. And I just checked out the price of the eggigies, and they are the princely sum of 500 gems each. Boy howdy! But once you have the 4 of them, you can breed all the ghostly dragons.

All evolved dragons were introdued in several events where you could buy the decos/effigies with event currency. Some of them (decos) return the following year, but that's not sure and they are costy.
When you evolve a dragon you have to have the basis dragon and the decos. Additionally you have to pay an evolution fee. This fee was event currency when introduced, afterwards it is 100 gems (for each dragon that you evolve).
When you evolve a basis dragon into the other dragon, the basis dragon will be lost, it gets transformed into the evolved dragon.
Some evolution dragons have other requirements than decos: they need special food ready to harvest, other dragons in the same habitat as the base dragon or even rain. You can check the requirements in the Encyclopaedia. At the bottom of this post dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/180204/thread
Evolution dragons can't be single-parent-cloned, you always need two of the same dragon to breed anther one.
Given all these facts it might be a good idea to use a wish on an evolution dragon or to wait until you get one as login reward. You then can clone it in the coop. (This will not work for Corrupticorn because it is rift only)

Typically there’s an “Event” for Halloween every year. That’s when all the spooky stuff comes out.
The effigies for the ghost dragons were part of the event prizes. So you may be able to get them then. Then you can evolve your dragons using event currency rather than gems.

All evolution dragons are available in the mystery egg pool even the ghostly primaries.
Also if you collect everything meaning regular, twin, rift and twin rift along with regular, twin, rift and twin rift pedestals, evolving two rift versions can get you the rest. If you do not have two rift versions you can’t get the rift pedestals since you need two. You can send rift versions over to get all the regular dragons/pedestals/twins. I am talking about the non ghostly evolves since ghostly versions do not have rift versions.
What about the dragons that have pieces to wear? Do they turn into a different dragon, or just play dress up?? What is their specific purpose?
I missed that event and it all looks confusing. 🙃

Additional information:
When a dragon is a basis dragon for an evolution there is an evolve button in the dragon window (the window which you open to feed the dragon) For example each PLANT dragon has this button because it could be evolved to a Ghostly Plant dragon. When the necessary requirements are given the button is active otherwise inactive.
If the dragon that you evolve is traited or a twin then the evolved dragon also will be traited or a twin. And the evolved dragon will keep the level of the basis dragon

I own ghostly primaries from mystery eggs. However, I struggled so much to breed a ghostly poison/flower that it might still be impossible to breed hybrids without owing the special stuff.

Though I've cloned my ghostly lichen when bred with some other ghost. But the primaries have been useless after some hundred+ attempts.

the enhancements are only to dress the dragon. There were several events. In the first event each dragon had two sorts of dresses (organic and conjured) each dress consisting out of several pieces (legs, head...) you can mix those dresses up or only put one part on the dragon. In another event the dress was only one piece and made the dragon glow in the dark with a certain pattern
Dragons can't wear the dress pieces when in their baby form.

Somehow got a cold ironwrought . Just auroch and bubble.
I usually have really bad luck with hard targets, so that made the extended week for me. Maybe there'll be more dragons, maybe not. That's all I wanted.
Keeping caves open for clairvoyant, muse and butterfly.

That’s a good point. I’m not sure if the effigies are necessary to breed the hybrids.
