However, today I collected and the gems added, but not the dragoncash. I had collected from 4 friends before I noticed. Missed out on average about 30 million dragon cash for each of those separate collections.
We can gift dragoncash too? I've only seen gem and treat gifting. Is that a legacy item, a level thing, or something else?
I usually wait a few weeks before collecting, just because... it's a really great feeling to see the gems and millions adding up.

Edit: logged a ticket with Deca.
I’ve never gotten DragonCash as a gift and I have been playing since 2012. The only DragonCash I’ve gotten from friends is from collecting party hats when you visit them. A screen shot of your social gifts might help clarify.

OMG! I am so embarrased!
Ignore everything I wrote! You are so right, off course, it's treats. I collected the leftover cash from the event first and just randomly started thinking my collections from the friend gifts were wrong because the cash meter didn't run anymore after the first thing I collected.
I guess working 96 hours of overtime in 3 weeks did affect me after all.. I swear, I used to be smart and correct about Dragonvale.

Sofie .....96 hours of over time in three weeks great on the pay check not on the person. Anyone can get confused with all that we keep track of in the Rift and Vale we all have and will do something like this. We are all human. It’s all good.🌺 Glad it was a easy fix.😃

Q for the ‘fire seekers’; I’m not happy with so many dragons in storage anD unable to be displayed, so I’m going to start selling surplus dragons (gasp), like seconds;
however, in order to maybe one day achieve ‘all the fires’ I’m thinking I need to keep the following versions of each dragon... Basic Vale form Twin basic Vale form Rift basic form Rift twin basic form
Is that correct? Or can I do away with the Vale and Rift basic forms if I have a Vale twin and a Rift twin? And that still leaves me with two I can breed in the Vale if I’m saturation breeding in caves for new dragons.... Please, you more knowledgeable folks, let me know if my logic holds? Thankyou!😊 🌻🌻🌻
Red Fire = At least one of every dragon Blue Fire = At least one twin of every dragon (except rift exclusives, mythic and legendary) Purple Fire = All rift traits on all rift dragons unlocked
I would keep one each of all four types. Having two of each rift dragon is really handy for breeding in the rift during bingo boat events. Do you have multiples of the same type you can weed out first?
Just to further clarify this: blue fire is a prerequisite for purple fire.
Purple fire = blue fire + all traited dragons + all 10 traits unlocked for each traited dragon.
(Note: some players claim only one trait is necessary, not all 10. Deca has yet to confirm this and has not commented on the topic of purple (or blue or red) fire.)
Kiwichris, if you need to sell dragons but don’t want to jeopardise red, blue, or purple fire in the future, you can eliminate all the regular versions of the dragons, as long as you own the twin or Rift twin (you don’t need both twin versions, just one — so maybe sell the other twin). You’ll also need to keep the basic versions of the dragons that can’t be twins.

Thanks to you all for your time in answering. I have a couple of each and have looked in the Dragonarium too. It all makes sense now... I think 🙃
Thanks also to the new friends who added me on the back of my post. What a supportive group you are.
So the question I really want to know is...... what’s this koala business all about!!! 😂
If you type 'good_luck' (without the _) it will be replaced with 'Koala'. The forum has the word replacement set up this way. As a result, members will just type koala or 🐨 to bypass the inevitable word change.

You should keep a traited twin. Here's the reason why: I didn't care about rift twin or normal twin. When I got a rifted twin from a dragon (by mystery egg) and already had a normal twin and a rifted dragon, then I released the new rifted twin (I didn't want doubles in the rift and didn't want to feed the new dragon either, because it's costy feeding rift dragons). In consequence I now probably get this same rifted twin as a login reward instead of another dragon of which I don't own a rifted version.

I just got the Combustion Dragon in the Rift and was surprised at it’s earning rate. Is this the first non-epic dragon to have epic rift earning rates?

I agree with this. I would keep the traited-twin too. They’re generally more difficult to obtain than regular twins.
Some players (like Quil) might sell the traited-twin because they collect twin and traited-twin pedestals and a traited-twin dragon will block their ability to receive these pedestals from mystery eggs. But since Kiwichris isn’t concerned about pedestal collections and is looking for dragons to sell (while retaining potential Dragonarium fires in the future), the traited-twin is more desirable.

I’m sure someone here will correct me if I’m wrong, but Combustion is the second non-epic dragon to have epic Rift earning rates. The first was Swiftgrace.

Quintessence was the first. I didn’t realize about Swiftgrace. Thanks greggerman
Also I would add that these dragons are excellent choices to level up with the Mythic dragons. 😁

Why is blue fire a prerequisite for purple (other than the color reason)? I have a snootroot that has all the traits unlocked, but I don’t have a twin of it. Are you saying if all my dragons were like that I couldn’t get purple fire?

That’s just the way Backflip set up the Dragonarium’s requirements for purple fire when the Rift was introduced and dragons became trait-able.
You would need all the twins (blue fire), and all the dragons traited, and all the traits unlocked for each traited dragon, to acquire purple fire. It’s a long, long term goal.
To me, it makes sense blue fire is a prerequisite to purple fire because red + blue (red fire + blue fire) = purple. The achievements build on each other. But since we now have so many dragons, I agree with other players that these goals should be separate. This way players who haven’t had the time to collect all the twins can try for purple fire.
There has been many discussions about purple fire between players, and several requests made to Deca. But so far, Deca has not indicated any changes to the requirements.

Heh heh, yep I also collect peds, just don’t set them up as egg islands, I use them as decorations instead thanks for all the tips... I’ll reread a few times to get it all clear, then start selling...Vale doubles first I think cheers all
