Hidden in the entire depths of our forum are dragon teeth birthday candles, lots of them.
Your task is to find them and collect the points. This contest will run the length of our party, so you will have plenty of time to browse through the thousands of pages to find the 55 (five for each staff member) dragon tooth candles.
How to Play 1. Find Candles - this is a candle --> 2. Click on the "Link to Post" option. --> 3. Copy the address at the top of the page 4. Click on the candle itself 5. Paste the address you copied in step 3 into the PM box that opens when you click on the candle in step 4. 6. Send PM 7. Yay, you have 1 point!
Let's practice. Click the "Link to Post" button in the lower right hand corner of this post.
See how your browser takes you to the top of the page. Highlight that URL address, right click, choose copy.
Now, click on the candle above....see how it automatically opens the PM posting box?
Paste the URL address into the box (right click, choose paste), click send and you are done. You now have 1 point - Yay you!
PM's received without the correct, valid address will not count. You will receive the number of points highlighted in the candle flame, but only once per candle. Total of 15 points per Staff member available. Obviously, sharing links would anti-Aloha Links publicly posted will be removed. Ask questions in this thread.
Koala everyone....and one other thing. There will be bonus points for finding all 55 candles. GO!!!
So let me get this straight. This thread is only for questions? I don't post the links in this thread? And I don't share my findings with others, right? K - got it.
Ah. This explains why they shortened the pages overnight again to make there be more pages. And messed up my "bookmarking" of the forum
We haven't tweaked the forum length in some time... maybe a month or so. If you haven't been using your bookmarks since before a month ago, then they would still be out of synch since then.
Are all the candles that size or do they come minuscule to Costco size?
Have all 55 candles been placed or can they show up in future posts?
Are the candles stationary or roaming gnomes? The only reason I'm asking this is because if you placed them yesterday (April 1st), I want to ascertain that April Fools isn't lasting the entire month!

All candles are the same size, as you see in the original post, only the flames are different colors depending on worth of points.
All candles have been hidden, they were placed today.

Tis a real competition, and some people are having luck (probably through hard work, dedication, and brilliant searching) finding candles (made from dragons' teeth - I hear they burn for nearly a week). So far only 2 of mine have been discovered, a happy hunting and koala to all

So here I am making a pumpkin pie for my husband whilst simultaneously having fun on this scavenger hunt. Of course my iPad is now covered in flour, sugar, and spices. Guess I'll just throw it in the dishwasher when I'm done.

Candles are hidden everywhere on the forum. All threads are fair game.
If you are using the app, heaven help you, you can copy enough of the post to show proof of finding the candle and send that. Will that work?
