LC has to change his numbers again. His is no longer the most generous offer. But here's a question...does he go with 12-6-3 to match the most generous overall offer or does he go 12-10-10 to match the most generous offer for each of the last 3 finishers?

Hey Nonny,
The numbers stand for how many gems a player wants to pledge for the competition. For example, 2+1 means that you pledge to give 2 gems to the winner and 1 for the runner up. When you're in this competition, you automatically have pledged 1 gem to the winner, but you may pledge more if you wish to do so.

For the record, I don't change my numbers. Myke handles that sort of thing.
As for what I should match, so the current debate is whether it should be the total number of gems offered, or the max gems offered to each position. I can see valid arguments to both those points. But what if it was taken an entirely different route with something akin to a pledge like so:
8+6+7+5+3+0+9

This would be a greater total (38), distribute gems to more winners, and also allow the dreaded 3rd position (not to mention lucky #7 - right ninjakiwi?) to receive some love as well. Just food for thought.
Also, maybe the debaters should consider matching the offers they are backing (seems only right doesn't it) to makes teen more interesting.

I was considering matching your pledge for this last gemstone. However, I decided I would wait to see what it was first. Who knows, I might even top your pledge just so you have to go higher. At the rate things are going, I doubt that will happen.

I hope the pneumonia gets better soon.
