Hey Lemmy.
Been lurking every now and then, been traveling the last 2 weeks in America so not much time for forums and such. Just been logging on now and then to play DV getting my dragons in and back in when the notifications call me.
Don't mind you using it at all, actually surprised no one else picked either the blizzard or glacier dragons as part of their combos.

I am interested in some of the thoughts behind some of the guesses. In the past we haven't had a metal/metal hybrid dragon in the combo and we also don't have opposite dragons. I would think if it were even MORE difficult to acquire people might actually storm the BF headquarters and light the place on fire lol

Actually, the Ruby gem dragon required a Chrome to get one. It has been the only gem dragon that requires a player to be level 17+ and that has included a metal element.
I'll send a gem to those who guess at least one of the parents correctly and three who get the exact combination. Other players may send out extra gems as they wish. You can ride on someone else's guess or make up your own for this competition. If someone gets the exact combo for the gem dragon, participants can send at least 1 gem to them for getting it right. Only one guess per player, please and this competition will close at the end of March. Remember, this may possibly be the LAST combo guessing competition for awhile, so choose wisely!
I'm pretty sure Glacier or Blizzard will be in there as these are fairly recent uncommons which has not been used in a gemstone combo. It's coloring also falls slightly in the diamond category I would say.
Guess I would have to guess Blizzard+Glacier for now.
Can we change later Elektronx, i.e. if a new dragon gets released or something?
Yep, you may change your combo at any time, but it must be before the official combo for the Diamond dragon is released.

The combo released for Ruby was Scorch+Chrome. It turned out to be a more difficult dragon to get for newer players of the time, so that's why I think they removed that element from the gem combo list. I'm hoping that they'll reintroduce metal since many players have progressed in the game quickly.

When they used Metal in the Ruby combo we did get a brief reprieve. Firework was also introduced in July, and it had such a high rate (around 50% I think...) it helped to counter the long Forge and Copper fails. Maybe there could be something similar for Diamond?
Just a quick reminder, but if the Metal+Air hybrid doesn't look like it will be released before April, please feel free to change your guesses before the Diamond combo is released.

I grew very attached to the Evergreen avatar, which I sported for the better part of 8 months. When someone else with an Evergreen avatar makes a post, I have to check myself from blurting I DIDN'T SAY THAT!!
Objectively, I think this new avatar is all kinds of cool. It's quite epic, much like me. I really like that it is unique. And I hope that with time I'll come to like it more than Evergreen.
If the air+metal hybrid isn't out by April fools, can my guess be for ice+crystal?
Had to think for a bit about the complication for the Metal+Air hybrid, so this is what I'll do. In case if the Metal+Air hybrid is not released, I will keep the original guess and a backup one. If BfS decides to pull a quickie with the Metal+Air combo, I'll just keep the original guess.
