It seems possible that an upgrade of the gem island habitats will be required to hold more than 3 dragons, and the new Giant Habitats have set the president that they will cost gems to upgrade. How much would you spend to upgrade EACH of the 4 habitats so that they could hold 4 dragons?
A reminder that a birthstone dragon can earn 52 gems a year, and the other 4 gemstone dragons will likely all earn 26 gems a year.

All comments welcome.
Personally, I'd say 25 gems is most likely, like with the Giant Habitats. I'd be more than willing to pay that
I tossed my vote for 10... but really it's because I only have 4 gem dragons at the moment and have plenty of room. So more space is worth less to me than it is to you guys who've been playing longer.
25 gems isn't unreasonable, I just would wait many moons until I needed it to spend that much.
Dragons to breed: Clover, Sakura, Diamond, Peridot, SOly, GOly, Bronze and Silver SnOlys, DR, Malachite, and four light and dark hybrids.
25 gems for me too in comparison with the giant habitats. For me, it's really just the wanting to display more dragons rather than calculating its cost/earning efficiency
None of the above. I much prefer the precedent that saw the capacity of seasonal automagically increase by one.

Really, I'd pay whatever they wanted. The value for me in being able to display all the dragons (even the ugly ones) is priceless. In terms of in-game currency of course. They get a couple of gem buys from me per year as a way of saying thanks for the game, but I wouldn't pay cash for it.
Depends how much they increased the size limit by.
Presumably, they'd only increase it from 3 to 4. Which, if you were going to use the quarterly gemstone dragons, would only net you 100 extra gems over a year.
Realistically, I'd probably just pay whatever it costs, simply because I don't really have anything else to use my gems on....
However, it the cost was exorbitant, I'd leave it a while and wait until public criticsm brings the price down (like the upgrades to the breeding spots).

Treasure also.
So you won't pay to upgrade if you have to?
The reality is I probably will, but only if I have gems to spare. I don't see it as a priority, and as you point out, it won't have to cost much to be not worthwhile from a cost benefit viewpoint. Mind you, I don't work that way myself. Just aware of the issue.
It bothers me that recent decisions by BFS seem to be geared specifically at raising revenue for them. Yes they are a business, and have a commitment to their shareholders, but they also have a commitment to their customer base, both new and pre-existing. The latter seem to be getting short shrift lately.

On a slight tangent, another possibility would be a fifth habitat, holding four gem dragons. That would cater for those like me who would like to display at least one of each dragon

5 gems for Gold in the Colosseum and 6 gifts for friends mean you get 11 gems every day. If it costs 10 gems to upgrade each one you can do it in less than a week. If it costs 25 each you do it less than a fortnight. No purchasing necessary. Just some work involved, which surely is an essential element of any good game.

Personally, I'd like to see a massive upgrade that would let you hold one of each as an adult and as a baby (so you'd need capacity for 32 dragons). I'd pay good gems for that.
I highly doubt they'll do it though. Consider how long it has taken already and they still haven't provided any upgrade.
The more gems they allow players to be able to earn for free, the less gems they are likely to need to purchase.

I voted for 25 gems in the poll, but I'd actually pay more since I don't really use gems for much other than upgrades and the occasional last minute desperate try for a limited dragon and I really would like to be able to display one of each gem dragon at the minimum & preferably 2 (adult & baby).

I voted 25 gems to upgrade each Birthstone Habitat. BFS should keep line with the same amount of gems that it takes to upgrade to the Giant Habitats.
