Okay let's try this one more month. With Halloween this month, I'm sure some parks are going to look frightfully good, so nominate your favorite. Rules: Nominate your favorite park for the month. Please post a picture of your favorite island so the other members can view them and vote for the winner. Then on the first of November or there abouts a poll will be started to vote for your favorite park of the month. All the people nominating parks agree to pay one gem to the winner and to the person nominating the winning park. (The folks being nominated don't have to pay). You may nominate more than one park if you choose but then you will have to pay the additional gems. There will be approximately 7 days for the poll so all DV members can vote for their favorite park being nominated for the month. Does the nominee have to be registred on the forum? I have a friend with a really beautiful park, but I don't know if he/she is registred here.

Would be best if they were registered since these comps are for our forum members. Tell your friend about the forum and see if they will join.

Well, the thing is that I got this friend early in the game from the DV Wiki when posting a gem friend request and he/she added me without leaving a comment, so I have no way of contacting him/her.  |

In fact, we already had a try on this kind of competition in the early days of the forum and it proved unplayable because:
- we may have members who never make inputs in the forum or no longer do but they appear in some peolple s friend s list
- we all have friends of which we do not know or remember where we had them from
- there is no list of equivalence between forum names and GCID so for many members we cannot know if they are members of the forum or not
In addidion comes now that there are members playing on various platforms and you cannot link ie place friends requests
And not everybody playing may want to be the subject of a vote and there is not way you can contact your friend to ask approval.

Thanks for the 2 cents Viv. Yeah I had a feeling this was going to die a slow death but thought it might be worth a try. So far the ones posted except for above have been forum frequenters but your right. I was going to split out the iOS and android folks so we would/could have winners in both platforms but only iOS parks have been nominated. So here we are ...

i3unny typically we don't nominate our own stuff. And my apologies for not making that clear in the rules. Since you are new I would love to nominate your island.

Just found this thread and I have a suggestion. Instead of best park how about narrowing it down to best themed island? Announced ahead of time it would give people time to spruce up and redecorate. Since we are all hunting party hats again because of Light/Dark it is giving us a chance to see what everyone has been up to. For instance, November can be nominate the best 'Egg Island', December could be best 'Light themed Island', and January could be best 'Dark themed Island'. Narrowing the scope with advanced notice might generate more interest. I hereby nominate (and I hope she doesn't mind!) Vivi's Egg Island. Just beautiful!!! I can't wait to see how she incorporates Light/Dark. Attachments:

Cyn, we are first getting Rift egg and dragon, probably light. Then I would assume we get mixtures between light dragon and the various existing elements. The rift dragons eggs will go somewhere in the center and the hybrids in their respective corners. Obviously, these will need to be enlarged ...

There is a tie for the favorite DV island. Viv is right this is not an easy contest to have for everyone here at the forum and I think it has come to an end.
