With the new month, comes a new installment of POTM. It works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can't pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post
and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste. You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were. Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod. On October 1st (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favourite thread. You'll have about a week to vote. So about the 7th of October we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. And now Crystals. The mods will give a gem and a crystal (if they're playing Gizmonauts) to both of the people that win the poll.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.
I mentioned this some time ago, but wanted to make sure you all knew that this board is awesome! The Mods and all the members are friendly and helpful, no one is rude or bashes anyone else, and it's a pleasant and educational experience visiting here. These things are quite rare with many boards, and I for one greatly appreciate it. Kudos! <3

I'm playing still. I missed Terradiem, and in a supreme act of stupidity, I sold both Equinox that I had. I have a Bronze and am trying for the second. Other than those, I have 2 of every other dragon and am entertaining myself by feeding them all to higher levels and making them all babies, as I find them to be cuter. I have my entire stable at 16 or better, and am feeding the herd to 17. Three are crowned. It is cheaper than therapy or booze.
I am sure you folks have seen some witty, funny, or informative posts to be nominated for POTM. Don't miss out on your chance to possibly win gems from the mods for making the winning nomination. There is still plenty of month left to get your nominations in. Don't be shy!

Since no one else has nominated it, POTM. I can just see Bloodstone doing that. Well, actually, I can't b/c I have never skyped with him or met him in person.
Been away from the forum for a couple of days on a field trip. Amazing how the posts and discussions have progressed in my short absence...
But a disaster has struck. I feel like I have had a limb amputated. My smartphone has decided to die, leaving me bereft and dragonless...
Am I worried that I cannot access photos from the trip? That I cannot phone friends and family? No. My poor dragons are going hungry and are not able to breed...
POTM. This would be true for so many of us DV players.

Would like to see what issues I can report about the iOs7 update, but can't get it to load on the iPad. Have read there are lots of people in the same boat. Perhaps tomorrow.
In other news - one Cotton has graced my park. News reports indicate an infestation of Boll Weevils - which look like this (ick!!!) are running rampant through the cotton fields of BFS. These nasty little critters are holding Cotton dragons hostage until their evil (which is where the name Weevils originated) demands are met. Negotiations are ongoing.
