You know you are a DV addict when you've always thought iPads were pointless and annoying, but suddenly decide you have to have one so you can play the game.
You know you are a DV addict when you risk motion sickness just to check on your dragons during road trips.
You know you are a DV addict when you decide to upgrade to a smart phone which you also always thought was annoying and pointless just so you can play DV those three nights a month you are staying in a house without wifi without having to drive 5 minutes down the road to get to a McDonalds.
Guilty on all 3 counts.
Looks like me and you is paddling the same canoe, wapatango...
I was thinking the same thing when I saw your post. It's always more enjoyable to have company and help paddling when in a canoe, so I am very thankful you are with me.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

I was very disappointed on learning that my Kindle needs wifi to access the interwebs. So I can't use it at work in my breaks and have to rely on fluctuating mobile signals. So frustrating when a breeding or egg is due to finish soon.
Kindle park1: nearly all dragons are frolicking in their habitats! (A Thorny little problem to resolve...)
Smartphone park2: Geode, a dragon with rocks in! Still to breed 4 dragons...
You know you are addicted when you take your Ipad in the ambulance to the emergency room and then play DV after the EKG is done which isn't the first time, when you have to have your heart cardioverted two different times and you play DV before they jump you and when you have to stay in the hospital and the cardiologist comes in and you ask him to hang on a second while you collect coins. Thankfully he's a cool guy. Be well, Janet

omgosh I laughed so hard at these! I have never posted but have been lurking....just wanted to say you all made me feel so much better about my new addiction. I thought it was bad waking up and checking on my dragons first thing (even before coffee) but I topped it by waking up and playing in the wee hours!
For some of us, it's definitely the wee small hours...
No kidding! I've opened one eye, glanced at the clock and thought "it's way too early to get up. I've got at least another hour of sleep. Oh well, since I'm awake anyhow I'll just do a quick sweep of the parks." An hour later I've swept both parks, planted some food, swapped out the breeding pairs, .... and now the dogs are up and whining to go outside. Stupid game.
Oh dear, I would be far too ashamed to admit half the things I have done. To be fair though, I think more of it stems from overall boredom rather than an actual addiction to this game.
I'm more addicted to distraction than anything else.
I definitely need spreadsheets to keep the two parks' strategies from getting mixed up.
Yo know you are addicted when instead of phoning the dentist re toothache after a filling, you have to sweep the parks and collect party hats first....
And when your predictive text offers hats after party, and DV, DC, and Dragons after typing a capital D in...

You keep running to your IPad to play DragonVale in between cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for the family!
No ipad but guilty of using every spare moment, including bathroom breaks, to check dragons and to pop on here if possible.
