You know your addicted to DragonVale when you tell friends you're naming dragons after them. Then have to explain the game and send them the photo of the dragon.
Then one of said friends downloads game to their iPhone...gets addicted in 2 days.
Then that friends house mate is like WTF are you doing? Friend explains...the roomie downloads off google (non-iPhone user) friends me on FB cause after two days they're addicted.
Now all three of us are FBing about who has what dragons.
While visiting said friend and talking to another friend in Houston, you're like brb on What'sapp gotta check the dragons...then explain game...
Friend in Houston now addicted and playing DragonVale.
Houston friend tells a friend of ours in Europe about it, and now the person in europe is addicted.
and this is all caused by me.
Then when you're playing your online MMO with the friend from Houston and Europe, you all interrupt faction chat in game and on voice chat to discuss dragons and who has what breeding time and who's gonna get X new one first.
Yup....I get the blame and just keep spreading the addiction around.

oh and I have an iPod, iPad and since October an iPhone to keep up with my dragons. ;D

Love this thread! I have done so many of these things mentioned! Hopelessly addicted!
One that hasn't been mentioned is when you spend hours redecorating your islands because new dragons/habitats have come out, or because you think your wizards would like a change of scenery.

To all my Dragonvale Buddies: I am very sad to report that I have lost my Park (well, it's not 'lost,' it's still out there somewhere in game center) My iphone went swimming and I had to replace it with an Android. BackFlip informed me that I cannot 'port' from one to the other. HUGE SIGH And so I have lost all my magic, all my light & dark, and the )@#($* Frostfire in the incubator that took me 3 months to get (feel the anger!) sigh again. SO, I am very sorry but I must rebuild from scratch...not sure my heart is in it but time will tell...thank you for your friendship and support these months. This is a frickin awesome community! HUGS
p.s. I THINK my new ID is reikiquilter@gmail.com but I'm still learning this new phone so... don't hold me to that...SIGH yet again...

Well, you know you're a DV addict when your boyfriend doesn't even have to ask what you're doing the second you unlock your phone.
You know you're a DV addict when you hide in the bathroom at work just to check your park. Then you feel awkward because you're willing to bet your coworkers are thinking you just took the biggest fudge. But inevitably, the satisfaction of collecting your coins and planting new crops overpowers the awkwardness.
You know you're a DV addict when your notes app is literally nothing but breeding options and future park plans.
And you know you're a DV addict when you spend your free time browsing other peoples parks for inspiration to remodel your own park.

And as I finished posting that I opened my park to try for Topaz and I think I FINALLY HAVE IT. Incubation is like 1 day and some minutes. BEST. MOOD. EVER.

Must have missed the Pixie Dust class for iEverything. That is a chunk of change difference, and can understand why you opted for the Android. Am sad for your lost park. On the other hand, you have all the early game excitement to look forward to and can miss some of the newbie mistakes.
Maybe the Android Gem thread will help you get some gem partners to get you on your feet again.

For some of us, it's definitely the wee small hours...
Who remembers the member - perhaps she's still here? because I can't remember who it was - whose hubs got thinking she was having an affair because she kept waking up in the wee hours and hiding under the cover with her phone to play DV - he thought she was texting a lover!! HAHAHAH!!
That's pretty hard core. (And, don't lie - we ALL have done that one - hiding under the covers like a kid with the flashlight and book :-) )

You might be addicted to the forum when you check it early in the morning or late in the evening just to find out what everyone's been doing & you begin referring to forum members as your friends.
