I have to say that now, you REALLY know you're a hopeless addict when the long fails don't seem to bug you anymore. Yes, they are a pain, but the co-op coupled with the year-ending BeB gives plenty of opportunities to get what you need. I still have plenty of limiteds to get (mostly timed with seasons or holidays), and it gives me something to look forward to.

You just summed up my other post.
THIS is what the game is about

You know you're a DV addict when you start making plans (months before) on leaving your iPad with a trusted friend so they can play for you while you are in Africa on Safari!!
Nope. You are only an addict if you cancel the trip unless they guarantee wifi access.
But you do know you are an addict when you read a silly list like this one and say "Yep. I can relate to that" after every point.
That's funny! Lmao
Seeking knowledge GC id. Momsfun Gem list already filled:(
omgosh I laughed so hard at these! I have never posted but have been lurking....just wanted to say you all made me feel so much better about my new addiction. I thought it was bad waking up and checking on my dragons first thing (even before coffee) but I topped it by waking up and playing in the wee hours!
I can relate

You got the wishing well for your kids' abandoned parks so they would have one wish if they ever returned to DV, and then you go back in during an event and actually make the wish in both parks for Goodys Treatery so you can gift yourself more eggs.

I feel guilt
..... I love this entry! In fact, this thread is my favorite of them all; it's how you really get to know/understand forum members.

Here's one for you: Moved this weekend, but took breaks now and again so I wouldn't squander any of the doubles weekend. People kept asking "what are you looking up, are we missing something?" to which I merely said: Doubles, feeding our dragons
iOS GCID EuroKnuter Friends ALWAYS welcome, but I'm full for GT buddies =) Rockin' an ElektronX Jet Icon!

Good enough answer for me...

You know you are an addict when you start a new Eggland Not really decided who shall live here. Perhaps a twin- eggland? Or shall i separate the eggs on two Egglands?

Constantly maximizing dragon cash output, growing food and leveling dragons in an attempt to get them all to max level while still attempting to breed at least a pair of every dragon. Eggs are kept and collected as a byproduct, when all other goals are complete then focus on the egg collection.
All dragon pairs excluding epics/gemstone/etc are lvl 18 or higher, with extras at lvl 17. Leveling the pairs to 19 is in progress. I hope they don't increase the max levels anytime soon.
I'm thankful for the break in events...
Park value is about 172B and raising about 1B every two to three days now.

My notebook is covered with my favorite dragons, I've installed an Android emulator on my computer specifically to check the game at home without having to get up and get my phone, my mind keeps drifting back to the game and its lore when I want to focus on something else, and I have Noel dePlante and an Apocalypse dragon in a favorite character-based Brantsteele hunger games simulator I have.
...These are all telltale signs that something is my special interest at the current moment.
I'm so screwed.

You know you're a hopeless DV addict when you're busy running a business, right? So instead of keeping one Excel for the business and an ongoing DV event, you sort of make marginal notes on your business Excel. Y'know, to save time?
Then you go invoice a client for the number of candies or whatever currency DV was using...

You know you're addicted to DragonVale when you dream about playing the game, and visiting your park and interacting with your dragons as if they were real.
Another thing is that you lay down to go to sleep, and when you close your eyes you can still see the game playing like you're watching it on a screen. I've been having this happen a lot lately. I play all day, see it when I close my eyes, and dream about it when I go to sleep.
