I am not really getting the aim of this new feature. My assumption was that BFS s aim is to get more player. But by definition, people not playing have no park and thus no code, (furthermore it seems you only get a code as from lvl 10). You can only enter a players code thus somebody who is already playing (and addidcted). So i don t get it how BFS is supposed to get new players from this.
They're are trying to get existing players to invite new players. You can only redeem one code to get a one time reward of gems but if you can recruit a new player that enters your friend code, you get rewarded 5 gems everytime that new player's park increase 5 levels. The more players you get to use your code, the more gems you get rewarded as they progress in the game.
Gamenut i do not get the point. Am neither on FB nor Twitter but if I was, it is not a thing saying get 50 gems of some sort of unknown game which would move me to search and install the game. Anyway, i guess the best is to make individual deals like the gem exchange, with one person, in the sense, i use your code, you use mine.

Think of it this way. Say you have a friend that sees you playing DragonVale and is interested in playing. After playing for awhile, they are as addicted to the game as we all are ;D To thank you for introducing the game to them, your friend enters your friend code. They get an initial reward of about 30 gems for entering your code and you get 5 gems for every 5 level of their park up to a maximum of 50 gems. The more friends you recruit the bigger your reward gets. Then the friends that you've recruited will be motivated to recruit new people to use their code so they can get in on the extra rewards too. And so on and so on. At least thats what BFS hopes.
I personally don't plan to do any extra recruiting. In fact I plan to kind of do the opposite. My brother-in-law just started playing DV recently. I want to enter his code in my four parks so I can give him a huge boost in gems. I could share codes between my parks to maximize my gems but I'd rather give him the boost.

This.
I think people responding might have missed the part about not being able to redeem codes if you are less than level 10.
So it doesn't seem that you can even recruit people with the code? It has to be used by an existing player - above level 10.
Unless you invite them using the share park feature maybe? Maybe that can be used for people who are completely new to the game?
So, can your friend code be used by more than one person?
Yes. Leave aside this initial back and forth and picture the game a month from now. Everyone you introduce to the game enters your code. Everyone they introduce to the game enters their code. Etc.
Yes, more than one person can enter your code (indicating that you invited them to play), but you can only enter one code because in their world, only one person invited you to play.
I didn't reaalize that we could only enter one friend code at first either. Thank you so much to those of you who posted how it worked for you earlier today! I have two under-13 daughters who both play, and we weren't sure if they could enter each other's codes, so I entered one of their codes, and that she entered her sister's code. Wish I could've boosted both of them, but this way they each got some help.

It is incorrect that you can't enter a code until level 10. You only get your own code at level 10. Just created a new account, we to through the tutorial (which got me to level 7) and redeem code was fully functional.
I received 50 gems, but it did not tell me from whom! Thank you whoever you are! Wish I knew who shared their kindness.

Awww, bless his little heart, so sweet. Please tell him we remember him and are glad he is still playing.
