As always, the exact pledge is up to you. wapatango and I started this madness. Basically the idea is to pick your arch enemy and pledge one or more gems to everyone who is still in when your enemy loses the comp. this means your enemy gets no gems at all, but the risk is if he is the first to get the dragon, then you have to pay everyone else your pledge. On the other hand, if your enemy wins the comp, you don't have to pay anything. Wapatango and I are pledging one for the first dragon, then a second for the second and so on. It could get VERY expensive in gems handed out if Wapatango gets back to back dragons before anyone else gets one.

Thanks GD. If I decided to play, my pledge wont be as elaborate as yours and Wapa's since I only have one acct and constantly wishing for a 2nd gem tree.

If I am reading all the pledges correctly GregDarcy, the only person in this competition who is not guaranteed at least one gem is whichever of us gets our ?? first. If this competition ends up being for the leather dragon and crumble608 gets hers before both of us, then every single person in this competition will get at least one gem. With a competition like this, why in the world would anyone not join???

Let me consider your proposition, wapatango. On the one hand, it would certainly be interesting. On the other, rulilind has commented on your powers of persuasion, and I would just hate to fall into your trap...
What I didn't mention, is wapatango uses her powers of persuasion for good. She tries to bring out the best in people, so have no fear. She is not setting a trap, only trying to make this a very interesting contest.

When buffy announces her pledge, we will have special pledges by more than half the contestants. That means, if you don't make a special pledge, you will be in the minority. You know you don't want that to happen... So come on and join the fun. After all, the cool kids are doing it.
