With the new month, comes a new installment of POTM. It works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can't pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste. You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were. Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod. On October 1st (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favorite thread. You'll have about a week to vote. So about the 7th of October we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. The mods will pay the winners.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.
Gah I am so over Crystals. Bred my third in a row trying to get my second Hydra. I can't wait till I get another so that I can clone them with a higher chance. Gosh when the Light and Dark dragons emerged from the rift, why couldn't we banish a dragon of our choice back there? "So long Crystal, you'll be missed...not."

Apparently my earlier post was a bit too abstract for Pixie's antique brain. I am out. I took the liberty of adding my name to the losers list.
Now that wapatango is out too, I will need to pay out my pledge. If you all don't mind, I will delay until the Sunstruck shower is over. Else my regulars will be getting upset.
OK here is the result : I'm not quite pleased with the head - but oh well... I could have made it with a shut mouse (would have been much easier) but I like that tongue so much, makes me always smile.

Rules: - All participants agree to pledge at least one gem into the competition pot. Participants are welcome to pledge more than one gem. Participants send out their gems when the winner is announced.

I will POTM this because it made me laugh and to show bloodstone that he is a valuable member of this community. I would have asked you, dragonmagic1, and flutterbye to make crazy pledges, but I knew you couldn't be part of the competition. But why don't you have your own competition between yourselves. You could tell them that you give a gem to each of them if they get it before you.
I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that GregDarcy owes a lot of gems and lemmyloop doesn't owe any because I just got a 36 leathery on my first try. The bad news is...ummm, let me think a minute...that I might not get any gems. I think I'll have to go reread the pledges. Maybe I get some somehow. I was the first to go out, does that count for anything?
Edit: Actually, I got out before it officially even started. Surely that counts for something.
