I've made a mistake and been breeding A Howl and a Ruin not a Howl and an Abyss - it's a stupid mistake - and not sure how I made it - I've messaged Pixie with this information to see what can be done about paying the gems back - maybe we tot up how many gems I've been sent and I send them to fourth place wichI think is mishkasmon - I'll let the mods decide what's best to do - sorry everyone xx

This is a tough one. We are sure it was an honest mistake. I actually visited your park a couple of times and didn't notice. Probably because ruin was one of the dragons I was using for Ragnorak so it didn't ring alarm bells.
We will discuss the issue behind closed doors, but in the meantime keep trying. With the right combo Much as I would like to declare wapatango the winner so I don't have to pay it any gems.

Sent gem to Wapatango and Shotgunsalley. Know I was only in for "boring" but I figured they need the Koala before their hunt for Nightmare starts giving them nightly nightmares.
Would have paid wapatango except I didn't see "wapatango" in my friends list and didn't notice the difference GCID until after I'd used up my gems. I'll pay LIKYLIND tonight
ETA: I don't think anyone bred the Nightmare on Sunday this week.

It sounds like everything is falling into proper order. shotgunsalley got herself a Nightmare (grats!) wapatango wins the comp and is owed buckets of gems, which she can use to continue her efforts towards her eventual Nightmare. She is also the target of a gem shower, to make doubly sure she doesn't miss out on Nightmare.
The only concerning thing about this whole situation is that we staff failed to detect SHS's mistake, which we could have gently corrected, and gotten her her dragon much earlier, thereby avoiding all this fuss at the finish line. I'll make sure to soundly reprimand all the staff over in our staff thread.

All right everyone, looks like this contest has ended. Our apologies about not monitoring the participants as closely as we should've. Could have gotten Salley the dragon a little quicker, but glad they got it anyways!
For people that have paid: instead of being moved to a "paid" column, your name with be struck out of the losers list. This way we can maintain the integrity of the list. We'll be editing the OP as usual. Remember, it helps if you tag a mod when you finish paying, that way one of us will be sure to notice!

See, a perfect example of where we missed something, but thanks to a gentle reminder were able to set it correct! With all these crazy pledges it's sometimes it's easy to miss who paid up fully while the competition is still going strong.
I am a VERY obedient daughter. It is only my dragons that are disobedient. However, they have finally decided to obey and I now have a nightmare dragon breeding. Congrats GregDarcy on having to give out 0 gems. I hope my dragons are slightly faster on getting two more, since I would like to get a second and egg before it disappears.
Too bad I don't know how to make avatars. I think my baby spring seasonal should have a medal for winner of the Last Call for Nightmare competition. Now, if only I could get that crazy ragnarok dragon...
