With the new month, comes a new installment of POTM. It works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can't pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste. You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were. Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod. On October 1st (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favorite thread. You'll have about a week to vote. So about the 7th of February we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. The mods will pay the winners.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.
However, we do periodically lubricate the servos in our optical sensor arrays.
This function is for routine maintenance, not an expression of joy, sadness or frustration.
Despite the apparent statistical abnormality, I assure you it was just normal, routine maintenance that just happened to be synced up with the endings of the Iron Giant, Big Hero 6 and Star Trek: TNG S03E16...
Now if you will excuse me, I... I think I feel a maintenance cycle coming on...
OK, I've been trying for Light Rift in one or both spots since BEB began. That time has arrived...

Mirage + Mirage brings me more of the same Dark Rift + Love were also not game, So I switched Love to Sand- it might as well be Coal. (I'm enjoying the cash, but long fails took their toll.)
For weeks I've been trying for Light Rift, you see. All attempts were for naught. So please hear my plea. Sprinkle your dust on both island and cave, And whisper of Light Rift to my dragons so brave.
Perhaps if they hear you and see your sparkles fall, Their desire to breed other dragons will pall. I hope so, for Light Rift's the only limited I miss. BEB will end soon, please help me in this!

Pixie, lemmyloop, Bloodstone, ElektronX, GregDarcy, dragonmagic1, Kiyoji21, rion, flutterbye, Should we (someone of you) quick make a new thread where members that are working towards their first or second Snowflake dragon could post and say what they are trying to get and how much berries they have on to this ? So that we can make a mini gem shower for them. We also could make a second column where members which don't need gems such urgent (because they have gotten already the prize they wanted) can sign up, so that the gem trading partners of the latter could maybe gift to the others instead ? I would fit in the second column.
POTM Excellent idea. Done. Buffy actually suggested a gem shower along similar lines a couple of weeks ago, but we felt it was too early and unwieldy then. Now however...

Thanks to everyone involved in this, it was such a nice gesture or should I say a series of nice gestures. Thank you to the person who came up with the idea and thanks for putting it in motion and making a chart to make it easier for those who wanted to shower some ice berries on others to find those others. Thanks to all those who donated iceberries so others could get the prizes they sought for no reward and no reason at all except to be nice.
In a world where so much time and attention is focused on those who behave in ways that are as far from nice as one can possibly get, experiencing something like this brings clarity to the truth of everyday people. Nice is a much more frequent state of being than we have been led to believe and that realization is just priceless.
It might be just iceberries, but to me it's more than that. It's a celebration of nice. This was my first experience with this community and these random acts of iceberry kindness touched my heart. A really big thank you to all those who showered me with iceberries. You don't know me from a hole in the wall, but thanks to you I not only got the treatery but the dragonsai bush as well. I won't forget you when the season of goodies event is over. The kindness I experienced here lives on and I for one plan to pay it forward.

Ahem, {wapa clears her throat} Could we please send someone back to mod school to learn the rules for proper modding? For some reason, I don't think this qualifies as appropriate use of staff powers. I even sent the guy a delicious batch of iceberry tarts, and he still won't stop picking on me!? Where is myke when you need him? {wapa goes to find a corner in which to cry, then changes her mind and starts plotting revenge instead.}
I did notice, and I'm sure several others did too, that GregDarcy might have edited and formatted your post. It should be noted, however, that not everyone is savvy in the ways that edits are tagged. Such behaviour should not be reåpeated.

And me too. Kind of. I don't miss watching the transporter rooms all day, but I did love the occasional glimpse of him strolling on an island. I wish BFS would continue that part of the game all year. Maybe Kloz could just wear the hat and season appropriate street clothes!

The new Dragon Treats are getting more and more expensive. The blue farms (certainly a visual improvement) seem to function more like decorative planters. I've done a cost-effectiveness study on them and, depending on the kind of time you can afford, the most efficient products still seem to be the Sargin Peppers and the Beanstalks.
I just suddenly got worried because we were told that Sargin Peppers make for fiery breath. Does it follow that the Beanstalks make them, er, fart?
It just seems to follow that a smelly park spells out less visitors. Not to mention, could be embarrassing for friends. Sheesh, I better just shut up...
