Favourite Dragon 2015 - Cold Dragons - Reindeer!

About 18 months ago (when there was only about 70 dragons in the game) we ran a series of polls to pick our favourites. Seems like we should do it again to see how things have changed.

There will be a series of polls to pick the favourites of the regular dragons and the epics and they will face off in the finals to pick the ultimate winner. You will get two votes in each category and there may be a number of finalists from each category, depending on how close the results are. Polls will be released in a staggered way so you're not overwhelmed but they will run for at least 4 days giving you plenty of time to have your say. And please have "your say". Post to tell us why you voted the way you did. Looks? Earnings? Personal connection or related story?

I chose reindeer and ghost because their juvenile forms are adorable. I love the imagination that went into the baby ghosts ... Their little sheets are so cute!

Cold is my all time favorite of the basic dragons. And I chose Mistletoe for my favorite limited as she's a great design.

This was another hard choice. This time between three dragons: ghost, mistletoe, & reindeer. I went with the first two because although I love the baby reindeer, I don't like the adult form as much. And I really like the adult and baby forms of ghost & mistletoe which is why I have two of each on display in my park. All three of these dragons were part of my second big crowning spree. Again, I had trouble deciding which form to crown. In fact, I changed my rules about crowning because of these dragons. Up to that point, all level 20's were adults. However, because I don't really like the look of the adult reindeer, I finally decided I could crown babies too.

Phantom because it's really different and I love the eyes and the translucent wings. Nosferatu because it's different, with the fangs and that preposterous tail.

I don't really have a favorite dragon that has a cold element in it, but if I were to choose, it would be Ghost and Mistletoe for their animation.

Mistletoe & Phantom

Mistletoe is a beautiful dragon that encapsulates the beauty of winter and the lush greenery of summer. And Phantom is a better-looking ghost than the Ghost dragon, I love the transparency of its wings.

I have all 9 of Santa's reindeer (most of them are in the HC to make room for everyone else). I have a massive love/hate with Mistletoe. I didn't get it the first time it came out and I was *peeved* about it. But the egg is so lovely.

Ghost because of the adorability (adorableness?) of its baby form, and because it was among the first dragons to get something unique in their animation (turning invisible for a moment now and then), and Arctic mainly because I love its colours.

Well, Reindeer has my vote for first place. I have 17 of them. I love Christmas and created a whole snow park full of Reindeer when first released. One of my earliest childhood memories is of a real reindeer my father took me to see.
Mountain & Ghost were tied for 2nd place, but I gave the edge to Mountain because I have a good friend whose name is that of a mountain. And I like his (the dragon's) looks. I like my friend's appearance also.

Why are people only voting for cold lately? Having said that, this is now the official campaign to get the Vote Out for Ghost--he is unique and amusing-- VOTE GHOST in 2015 ---

And just like last time, Reindeer takes down honours. Only 7 opponents last time, and it was the only limited, so it quite comfortably took more than half the votes that time around.

This time around it took honours by the slimmest of margins, but a win is a win.
