Taking my OCD to the next level, I want an easy display in the spreadsheet to reflect the display of stardust collected in my park, taking into account when I turn it in to collect a reward. Have added another line in my Daily Tally spreadsheet and have the code in there to cover the first three rewards. Will fix the rest up tomorrow.
Fletch- I attempted to open your spreadsheet, but it would not work. Lemmy's did work however. Pis it possible that you could fix this?
I'm sure it is ... somehow. lol Must be set to private. Will look into making it publically viewable tomorrow when I fix up the last piece of code.
Hey everyone, I have found one reason for why the Star Dust glowing stars are hard to find sometimes. It is because they sometimes appear outside of islands. I had one in my park just then that was halfway below the 'southern' lip of the island.
I could not get it - tapping it made no difference.
So I will try the game reset strategy.
I can back his evidence up.
This is because the stars are based off the same coding the guests are. That way stars and guests don't randomly appear in the middle of our habitats or decorations. However, as has been spotted once before on this forum, and numerous times by myself, guests often get a tad lost, and I've found them wandering in my park's sky. It is for this reason that I assume that it is possible for stardust to; as onejoebloggs says, disappear into the cosmos.
Thus, for those struggling to spot the star dust, make sure you reload the game after you have searched all your islands. This will force all your stars to come out of hiding eventually!
Naughty little stars, wandering off...
An update : I reset my game by turning off my iphone. On restart, both the purple and white Stars appeared below the lip of my island. HOWEVER! By rapidly tapping on each Star for about 10 seconds I was able to get the 10 stardusts. I had to vary the location of my taps.

lemmyloop, question about the spreadsheet (which I love, thank you a million times over) -
Here's mine today: Gems to spend on Double Stardust: 240 Gems to spend on Single Stardust (per day): 29 Remaining Deficit of Stardust after Gems: 0
I spend 40/day on the 6 doubles days (240 gems, which will credit me 480 stardust) and then I spend 29 gems/day on regular days, I can choose to spend more if I want - I get that.
Here's where my confusion enters: during the last event, I hit a point where it said I need to spend 63/day on single days. But, if we only get credit for 40 then I need to assume there would be a deficit after spending 40 gems/day, correct?
You're right. If you hit a point where it's above 40 gems, then you're probably not going to make it to the last prize. I've always been a bit back-and-forth on that section. It's fine if it's under 40, but gets confusing after that!
Thanks, Lemmy! I figured that was how I needed to think about it - but at the same time, hated to assume!
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all/Gloom, despair, and agony on me... {HeeHaw, 1970s - totally showing my age)
Also notable... I may have forgotten to update the rewards prices so they're still the easter event. The overall 9000 star dust required is the same, but the different levels for individual prizes are a bit wonky. I've updated in the master spreadsheet, but you'll have to do something about it if you've already downloaded. Pretty easier to just adjust the prices yourself!
Fixed that up. Thank you so much for putting this together.
I added a couple of lines to the Daily Tally to show the running tally needed and the tally I am up to. Yes I am that OCD/Anal Retentive. :-)
Yeah, looks like you've got you you'll need to update your share settings Fletch_smf
I'm always looking for ways to better the spreadsheet so I definitely want to see your alterations! I've got a mini-calculator that I'm going to add to the next version. Basically a quick and dirty summary of if you're going to reach whatever your end-goal prize is, and how many gems it will take. Trying to work out any hiccups before adding it onto my master sheet. It's a calculator I posted near the end of the Monolith event, but I've made it far more dynamic. Still trying to work out a kink with the average daily Star Dust... I'd like that to be dynamic as well! Just a bit hard what with doubles and whatnot.

Due to the frequency of events, I have decided that I will no longer try to gain all the prizes in my dad's old park. I dont have time to play two parks at this pace, so I will drop back in his. I will still send out daily gifts, but I won't spend much time on it and only play as I desire. Hopefully this will make the events more enjoyable. Of course, this also means that if I have been sending you daily gifts from the DOLILIND account, you no longer need to return them. The colosseum and gem dragons will provide plenty of gems for more relaxed play, I will still send out gems, but I won't need any in return.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

Thank you for letting me know. More and more DOLILIND is ending up the odd man out when I run out of gifts. This makes me feel better about that.
Has it been confirmed whether or not speeding up quests will result in star dust for the quest vs just for gems used to speed up the quest?
I haven't had a chance to test star dust but during the previous event you got the event currency for gems spent speeding up quests as well as for teh quest until you had received max for the day.
NM: I just had a chance to confirm I am NOT getting the stardust for the quest on 2Hr speedups.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for one friend who would like to exchange gems with me and my mom. A lot of the people we had previously been friends with have stopped playing the game, leaving us with no one to whom we can give our gems. My gcid is ScurrilousRogue, and my mom's is JackReacher1231.

I think last event people noticed they got the missing magic after they logged off and logged back in.

Have the Running Tally, Needed, and Game Display rows in the Daily Input. The Needed row doesn't add up to the 9000 at the moment, because there are no double days set yet. I have shaded the ones I think we will have in purple, so if you change those drop down boxes to Yes you will see it makes the 9000 for that row. However that removes any available double days in the Summary page, so I have left them as no for the moment.
The only other thing I would like to do is conditionally colour the Running Tally row. I would like it to make the characters Green if the Running Tally is Greater Than or Equal to the Needed row. Likewise, I would like to make the characters Red if they are Less Than what is Needed. I assume one rule set is all we need, and we can make the characters default to the other colour, but I can't get it working at the minute. Any tinkering or suggestions are welcome.

I decided to make my own, not because I don't wanna use yours, but because I enjoy making them and it always helps to expand my knowledge of Excel. Still trying to work out some of the features. Specifically the "How many gems to spend on single/double days" and "You will need to buy x stardust" features. They are messed up at the moment.
I will share the document when I figure out how to... I might use google docs, or make it downloadable... Not sure yet. No idea how you make a calculator though....
Best wishes

No longer active on DragonVale! *briefly back online*

Hey! I've got you on my Friend's list! I thought you'd stopped playing. And no idea you were related to jackReacher
I am half way to the pedestal, and taking it easy. I pick a wrong event to take a break from, but I desperately need one. I'll see when I get closer...
I like everything about this event, but back to back events are simply discouraging on my part.
Well, I do have my purse w/ me, at all time . There you go!
Some friends touch your heart in a way that you can never erase.

I'm not clear on the purpose of the 2nd Midnight dragon. It doesn't appear that you breed them together to get a 3rd and 4th, like with the Snowflake dragon and the Monolith dragon - correct? So aside from wanting the weather station final reward, and just getting the 2nd dragon in the course of progression toward that final reward, is there any reason to want/need the second midnight dragon, for those of us who expect to fall short of having enough stardust to get the final reward? Does the 2nd dragon even LOOK different?
