I'm almost sure they did in China but the people ate them...
No, no, I'm not trying to be politically incorrect! But a guide showed us the Hong Kong breakwater once and said, it kept sharks away. When people kind of recoiled, he back-pedalled by saying, "don't worry, we ate them".
Now, seeing as there are still so many dragons around in spirit... I mean, stands to reason, oder?
But seriously I don't think dragons truly ever existed in the way we think they did.
I suppose next you will be telling us there's no Santa Claus, no Easter Bunny, no Tooth Fairy, no Leprechauns! I thought you were pretty intelligent, up until now.

Now now, let's not jump to conclusions...

How's everyone doing ??!! Awful quiet out there. I'm 600 dusties away from the dragon - should get that tomorrow morning before doubles end. Be nice to see the Dragonarium sparkling again. Anyone have one? What does it look like?
Here's a theory for that looming falling star, meteor, or whatever it is. Perhaps it will crash into the Star Thingy at the conclusion of the event, smash it into smitereens (first time I've ever written smithereens). The shards will fall on our islands and will do magic things over time. For example, if you click on one at just the right time you get one of the new constellation dragons. And, by the way, constellation dragons were real at one time - I've seen them in museums. In Ireland I think.
Have fun, Poppy

Poppy, We're a wee bit short of the first Midnight Dragon, but should get it by tomorrow morning, too. I love your theory regarding the meteor and future DV play. BFS keeps building the anticipation by saying things like, "just wait until you see what's next" or "big things are coming the the Vale," so your theory would seem to fit that billing. I'm wondering how the weather station will come into that mix.
Poppy, what s the name of that cocktail you are drinking ? I am 814 away from the dragon, will take me 3 days tto get it, I assume.
I've been on SlimFast + blueberries + bananas shakes two weeks now, starting to get a little wonky. But the antioxidants in the blueberries are clearing out toxins, so that's good. Love to have a SlimFast dragon. Could open up a whole new area for BFS: Ritz dragon, Snickers dragon, Pepsi dragon.... Naw.

Slimfast ? Erkkkkk ! Looks like full of chemical stuff. Such a thing will never go thru my door way. But Ritz dragon, I would take it from the Hotels, The Ritz, thus an elegant, luxurious, glamourous dragon, not bad lol
Magic has been reset everyone, and it won't be too long before they remove the double magic from the weekend. Find the stars, collect the party hats, collect the DC and treats ASAP. Think about speeding up a Quest and hatching some eggs. Make the most of it while you can.

I have a (wish-)theory about the Lyrid meteor shower in which the background goes all Van Gogh... I wouldn't know about the conclusion, though. It's likely I'll end up slightly buying... (what, miss out on an omnipotent Weather Station?)

Would love a Starry Night.
And my favourite theory is Gregs ... Meteor hits and Dinosaurs Dragons go extinct.
Hmm. This Star Fall event is bringing quite a new angle to the game, at least in tone. DragonVale has always been about magic, but it looks like BFS is introducing science into the mix with this event. Granted, in ancient history, science and magic weren't that clearly demarcated. But here you've got an event character that's obviously modelled after a famous astrophysicist, a meteor that appears to be hurtling towards the parks, and a weather station for an event reward.
While the Weather Station is similar to the Twilight Tower reward in function, the Twilight Tower has quite a magical feel in its design and name. The Weather Station is more science-y than magical, borrowing its name from meteorological stations used to predict weather.
The meteor in the game also suggests that meteor which killed off the dinosaurs in our history, as some have mentioned. Perhaps in the same way that that meteor heralded a new era in the history of the Earth, this meteor seems like it could be bringing a new era to DragonVale.
(Of course, I could be wrong, and BFS is simply being a little more flexible with its event themes now...)

Just got the Midnight dragon - looks just like the one on the opening page. On to #2. Hope I get it before the meteor hits and blows everything up.
Cheers, Poppy
