Staying patient. Hard to break the routine, though. I wake up every morning at 6:30 and the first thing I do is go through the first DV session of the day. 1:15 to go.

Know what you mean, early morning is my quiet time when I can play DV without interruption or feeling guilty at not doing something more important. Have an hour to go, time when something more important should be getting gone.
Is hard not to open the game and rush right in to start collections.
I used to go in first thing in the morning, but because of constant events and BFS has had some surprise doubles, I now regularly go in for the first time after 12:30 my time, which is when doubles start for me. Sometimes I get busy and don't get in until much later. We had to go somewhere this morning, and as we were driving home my husband commented that doubles would start by the time we got home. I was amazed that I hadn't thought about DV all morning. I'm not sure that's what the developers are going for.
556/2520. I have not done gifts today (that happens when I go to bed), but I have done most of the other collecting. I am going to be tantalizingly close, but I don't think I will make it. Is it worth spending real money? I don't mind spending a little here or there to support the game, but I am a little worried to do it in the events because we have had so many and I don't want to encourage that.
Did anyone have the Weather Station already? What does it do exactly? Please share.
Viv posted a rain effect pic not so long ago, and that was the only insight of it.
I JUST got mine At present, there are 3 options: None, Starfall (same as event) and Rain. None and Starfall you've seen before / currently, rain comes down in sheets - it's pretty cool! haven't tried with the different backgrounds though (oh my, I play with my sound down and didn't even check to see if rain had a rain sound... brb!)
Edit: Yep, thunder and raindrop sounds (light, not overbearing). Also, the rain is in sheets and waves so the intensity changes a bit as you're watching. Don't see any puddles forming though LOL
It's pretty cool, and like the background changer I look forward to weather being added (at least I assume it will lol).

I have not paid money for a bit and I do get a lot of enjoyment from the game, so I spent money this time. I absolutely will NOT spend money every event when they come this often though so I understand.
I'm alive. And I'm really really busy. I remembered this morning and I am about to go collect. Got exams coming up, so should be busy, although I might get bored sometimes and waste 10 mins on here when I should be revising :/

I listen, I just forget when it comes time to giving gifts, especially because the game crashes multiple times in the process. It is so hard to give gifts that I usually just go down the list as quick as I can and click away before the game crashes again. I've tried going slow, it still crashes. I've tried deleting some friends, it still crashes. Gift giving has become quite a chore in both my park and DOLILIND. I'm always excited when an event ends because suddenly, the crashing pretty much stops. I remembered not to gift you after giving the gifts today. I'll try to remember before giving the gifts tonight. Of course, I also have to have others on my friend list who need gems... I don't want to make the problem worse by adding new friends.

I'm 200 short of the 2nd dragon after today so will get that tomorrow morning but will be unlikely to get the weather station. I'll give it a go, might end up with a lot of treats!
Mine's a real suspense story. I'll need to max out all the remaining days!
What's your progress? How many SD towards the Weather Station do you have? I really hope you make it.

Like so many of you, reall life has kept my DV time to a sporadic minimum for this event. It's been 8 days since I have checked in here. I missed several big things...a quest...a fail to re-breed immediately, ...the colosseum at least once, but I think twice...extremely well hidden stardust two days, missed 1 each day....haven't been able to collect party hats for 3 days, game crashes.... This event, although I really like it, has come at an inconvenient time. Are we experiencing event fatigue...? Hmmm...
I have collected all for today, and am 188 short of the 2nd dragon.
Is the weather station worth the push and purchase? I have read all the comments since I was last on, I can see that it's cool, but I wish I knew if it were going to be important to future game play. Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry too much about the weather station from what I've read about it so far. Rain? I've had enough of that for one lifetime living on the wet side of Oregon for many years. Perhaps it might become an integral part of the game at some point. But if that happened they would have to make it available to everyone. I'd just play normally and let the cards fall where they may.
