Decided to do a few speed-ups before I left for the day. We are now the proud owners of Twin Winds! At least it's just a five hour fail, be happy I didn't send you a Twin Ragnarok like I did poor James!
I, too, have crahing problems with my ipad 2. During the events it's worse. My game crashes when I go to the social menu or in the coop cave (everytime when the game center friends are listed), especially when visiting a friend. I think it's a memory problem. The data is too much. During the last event I shortened my friend list (sorry freitag). This helped a bit. But now my friend list is longer then ever. Not good for a new event. In my little park there is no problem with the social menu.
What always helps a bit is a complete shut down of the ipad. (Cleaning the memory use) Oh and it is important to not have any other big app open.
It's very sad that these "technicial" problems oppose the wish to have lots and lots of DV friends.
Crumble, Mine started doing it when I still had only 14 friends so I don't think it's that. I only play one other game and have three-quarters of the memory on my iPad2 available so it can't be memory. I think when Apple sends out updates it affects the game for a bit and BFS has to scramble to update their code. My problems started after the last Apple update.

I have no problem with my first generation iPad Air. Perhaps that's because I shut it down about once a month. I find internet usage becomes slow, and videos won't play. The fix for this is to shut the iPad down completely restart it and it's all okay again

^ good advice. Also manually closing apps you aren't using is a good way to save on ipad resources. Hold down the home button until the apps come up and swipe them off the screen to stop them running and using memory.
I have the same problem with my IPad2. When I go to my Social menu to collect or distribute gifts, it almost always crashes on me. I haven't figured out why, but it's a persistent problem. There are days when it takes four reloads of DragonVale to gift my friends.

My point is that if you breed your original galaxy dragon, with a friend's galaxy or their epic, you stand a good chance of getting another of the one you already have. However, if you use a friend's galaxy of the type you're wanting, and breed it with your own non-galaxy, you stand a chance of getting a different galaxy.
If you check the Sandbox, you can use the combo finder to see which of your own regular or epic dragons you can pair with a friend's galaxy and see all the possible outcomes.

Oooh.. I get it now! But I wasn't even getting ANY Galaxy Dragon so I was concerned that my breeding pair was off the to begin with. When I could, I threw in my only Galaxy Dragon (can't remember the name, Oops!) and Snowflake 1, and I've got the timing for another Galaxy Dragon! Yay.. Thanks for the advice!
I was planning to throw my name in for the Galaxy Shower, but my OCD was telling me that a twinned Galaxy Dragon will not complete my collection. I am aiming for non-twinned dragons! Hahaha.. Anyone else in the Galaxy Dragon has considered this too?
What's the general opinion here about the gem sale? Would it be a sales opportunity to keep up the frenzied co-op breeding or does it portend a new event?
Trying to breed a third cyclops from two cyclops parents, I went to the sandbox to double check the time and make sure it wasn't an olympus of some sort, and it says the only possible result is a cyclops. Have the clone breeding rules changed again??

Unlikely, but the Sandbox, while a wonderful resource, is not always correct.

Dark Rift + Dark Rift = Dark Rift, per Sandbox.
It's correct! I have 12 consecutive Dark Rift pedestals to show for, not a single Light Rift in the mix. 13th and 14th pedestals are in the making, I believe they will be Dark Rift as well.

I meant to quote this, not like it! Anyway, it does not disqualify you. We want everyone to succeed in getting all of the Galaxy Dragons which is why once everyone has at least two different Galaxies then we can GS those who still can't get their third.

I shut my iPad off every night, never have more than one app open at a time, and go into Settings>Safari>ClearHistory>Clear after every surf session. Does not seem to help. I think this is definately something on the BFS side and I'm sure they will figure out a fix, eventually.
