With the new month, comes a new installment of POTM. It works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can't pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste. You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were. Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod. On the 1st of next month (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favorite thread. You'll have about a week to vote. So about the 7th of next month we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. The mods will pay the winners.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.

I've had only marginal success with whining on the forum, but my desperation waxes as the Elysium's availability wanes. Allow me to elucidate:
The elegant Elysium has elected to elude me. My elaborate efforts to elevate my park and join the elite have elicited only Elympics and other elementals. If this eloquent but elliptical elegy executed with élan eliminates the elephantine odds of epic fails before the availability period has elapsed, then I shall exchange my eldritch avatar for a more Elysian alternative. Such an outcome would leave me elated and electrified, but also lacking elbow room in my dream habitat.
I elided "elderberry" and "electrum" from that whine, they seemed a bit much. On the other hand, that didn't stop me from typing "Elympic"...

I knew I was addicted when I lost my wi-fi for several days and could be seen out behind my local library at all hours playing with my dragons on their free wi-fi. Met some drunk kids, some Homeless and several dog walkers. Everybody's friendly at the library!

My native tounge isn't english and I am not sure I get what this is all about. While trying for the mentioned dragon without much success, I amuse myself with some words and a picture. You'll be my judges. (The word Elysium should here be pronounced in the latin way ☺️)

I'm sorry to interrupt your flow of thought. I've been playing DragonVale for a few years, but still feel like a novice compared to you all..
I would very much like to make friends with you and be able to gift you with gems and breed the special dragons that can only be bred with friends.
I don't know how to go about doing this .. Maybe you can take me under your wings and help.

Mine originated with a mixed-media self-portrait conceived 40 years ago - an avatar before avatars were cool.
Picture a black velvet pregnant manta ray streaming golden threads.
It references Me (a woman), Man Ray (an avant garde artist, male), Rae (my middle name, which I have always used even though, or because, it was pretty odd in those days), manta ray (a floating creature), mantra (TM in the AM and the PM), and pregnant with ideas (still!).

Oh yum, thanks for the link! After spending time in London years ago I became totally addicted to McVitie's Digestives and a great cup of British tea. What a fabulous afternoon tradition!
Wouldn't it be fantastic if BFS came up with a group of Dragons based on British biscuits? I mean, they have all the other elements - earth, fire, water, etc - aren't British biscuits one of life's basic elements?

Note for all us American speakers: a British Biscuit is an American Cookie! No gravy involved. And they call them 'digestives' to make 'em sound healthy nice link
I once thought of having a whole Cooking line of DV dragons, combining the mechanical elements with edibles. (Fire + Sugar = Caramel, Sugar/Egg + Cold/Cream = Ice Cream). (Lightning would be a microwave.)It would be educational, too.

Been down to my sailingboat today. Just want to tell you, I am so happy. The Aurelia aurita, probably called common yellyfish in english, is back! For several years they were gone and I was worried.
On the westcoast of Sweden we call them Blue yellyfish (and in Blekinge - in the south they are called aulaqwabbel. this is a very old word. Aul is Eel ang qwabbel I do not know. Interesting they use the old sound for w, long gone in Swedish .)
