Not really sure. The only other rainbow that I can think of is a Fire Rainbow, probably the rarest one there is. There are usually created from hexagonal ice crystals afloat in high-level cirrus clouds, AND sunlight has to hit it at one specific angle (46) to reveal it.
I read the new rainbow decoration's description and got excited.
Oh lol
The "twinned" and "supernumerary" portion of it would just mean more multiple rainbows. I don't think that they would add any more to this series because it would get too redundant.
Just got a double rainbow with firefly and seaweed I that order if it helps. BTW hello to everyone, it's been quite a while, I still lurk and it's nice to see how the DV family has grown. A testament to the mediators, great job guys

Has anyone got a solstice dragon recently? I ask because the decoration has been activated in my park, but it is not in my market yet. A glitch? or are they just keeping quiet about it for now? It is about the right time for it.

The Solstice is on 6/21, so it seems a bit early for them to release it.
But I haven't seen anyone say they were testing it.
That said, shouldn't the Sun Stones be animated and not the Astrovane? The Astrovane has previously only animated to herald the arrival of the Equinox Dragon...
According to the Sandbox, it is a fail for both my Pearl breeding and my Butterfly/Rainbow breeding, so I'm happy I can continue my current breeding strategy and also have a chance at a double rainbow in both breeding locations. I still don't have a regular rainbow, so I'm not sure what my chances at a double rainbow are.
Any news on what the results are if you breed a double rainbow with Celtic/LYD/Rainbow?
OMG! I think I just got the Double Rainbow as a Pearl fail (level 15 parents), only my second breeding attempt since Double Rainbow became available. I can't think of anything else that would breed in the EBI for 48 hours! That would be amazing luck, and finally put a regular rainbow within my grasp!

Is Panlong, with water and fire boosts, still the highest DC paying dragon? My level 15 is paying 411/min. I've been thinking to clear an island and set it up with just Panlongs in huge earth habitats with the water and fire boosts. Anyone care to share their thoughts?
If you are only going to do one island, then level 19 Fire + Water boosted Panlong dragons in Giant Earth Habitats produce the highest DC/Min. Five of them in a Giant Earth Habitat will produce 2700 DC/Min.
If you were going to do two islands, the second one should have level 20 Earth + Plant boosted Paper dragons. They produce more than unboosted Panlong Dragons. Five of them in a Giant Earth Habitat produce 2160 DC/min.
In third place, you have level 10 Double Rainbow Dragons. Two of them in a Large Rainbow Habitat produce 1000 DC/Min
If you cared about nothing but DC/Min you could have 50 Panlongs, 50 Paper and 48 Double Rainbow Dragons spread out over 48 habitats and you would make 72600 DC/Min... which is 4,356,000 DC/Hour assuming you can sweep your park often enough...
It may be worth it to give up some Paper Dragon slots to keep a constant supply of Iron Dragons cooking. I'm also assuming you can only fit 10 Giant Earth Habitats on an island. If it's actually 11 then that changes the numbers slightly...
Regardless, this is a a fairly unrealistic strategy for most folks due to the high sweep frequency. The Panlongs and Paper dragons end up losing money if at any point in the day you can't check your park at least once every 55 minutes.
You know, like while you are sleeping
For less stress, the Double Rainbow Dragons should be are much easier to manage long term, since their habitat takes 25 hours to fill up completely.
Assuming you had 44 large rainbow habitats worth of Double Rainbow Dragons, sweeping only once a day would earn you 63,360,000 DC/day.
To get the superior results out of the Panlong/Paper/Double Rainbow strategy you would need to sweep 15 times a day over a period of approximately 14 hours...
And this is strictly talking DC/min. Doesn't factor in the considerable setup costs in habitat construction/upgrades, the dragon treats necessary to raise the dragons or the time investment required to produce the various armies...
Really appreciate all the time and effort you put into your helpful posts.

Have I just been oblivious in the past, or is the background different when you're racing in the Racetrack? I thought it was just solid light blue sky behind the stands, but now there are hills and clouds and trees and such......

I give gems randomly to those who seem to need them because I'm not organized enough to keep a list, but I'm always looking for more Party Hat friends!
Some interesting info - are all 4 element breeding combos equal? Both Fletch and Tricia reported quick success using Love+Salamander to get their Double Rainbows, which got me wondering because it took Manahmanah 291 tries and 355 for me to get 1 DR. Is there a difference in pairs?
Really appreciate all the time and effort you put into your helpful posts.
Glad to help when I can.
Besides, I have to do the math to figure it out for myself and it would seem silly and selfish not to share the results.

hmm indeed... has anyone else tested any other combos using a limited dragon as one of the parents?
Perhaps Bouquet + Firefly/Scorch?

It would be kinda cool if you got better odds using any tribrid limited parent. As a new player of just over a month I've managed to get 3 different 3 element hybrids, so encouraging using non-specific limiteds wouldn't be a disadvantage for us newbies.
Dragons to breed: Clover, Sakura, Diamond, Peridot, SOly, GOly, Bronze and Silver SnOlys, DR, Malachite, and four light and dark hybrids.

It certainly is. As long as you can tap every hour and a half or so, you won't earn any faster.

Thank you to both of you! I am just getting dragons to level 15 so far. Not all of my shrines are silver yet. I have been thinking that I need to step up the earning potential so I can feed. I had a few rainbows and lyds in the hc so I bought them some habitats and have them out and earning now. Given that lyds earn just 11 dc/min less than double boosted pans and take much less breeding time, I think I will breed more to boost my earnings. I shouldn't have to check as often as with boosted pans and it will be fast enough to suit the snail's pace I seem to be playing at lately. I must admit though, when I first started playing DV, I didn't sleep much at all, lol!

Just posted the info over on the Wiki to see if they think more testing is warranted. They have many more people available to help test.

While I cannot test, I got one fairly quickly as a Pearl fail, and I noticed in the comment section on the Wiki that this seems to be a common early success method. May just be that a lot of people are trying this combo for Pearl anyway though.

So that's how it flies... it burps magical sparkles at its feet with great force. I imagine that would be awkward if the two heads weren't in perfect sync. And hilarious.

This is a very good idea.
Solstices are even better if you have them, as the earning potential is even higher and they don't take much longer to breed.
But either Leap years or Solstices are FAR better than Panlongs for a new player who is trying to boost their money. The amount of money you spend on food for the Panlongs just simply isn't worth it unless you already have a bucketload of food and just want to optimise things further.
And unless you can check very frequently (and at set times - simply checking 15 times a day is not enough, it has to be at least 55 mins apart), you won't get more cash with Panlongs anyway.
It's a no brainer really.
Remember, levelling one dragon to level 15 costs around $16m. It will take a LONG time for the increased earnings from that dragon to pay off.
Levelling a dragon to level 20 costs over $500m. This will quite literally, NEVER be paid off. So levelling dragons to level 20 is purely a personal decision, but never a financial one.
But levelling Solstices or Leap Years to level 10? Costs about $500,000. Probably less as you can do it using Dragon Fruit or cheaper options, where it is simply not possible to do this for higher level dragons due to the quantity of food required.
