All our friends in New Zeland hope you are ok after the earthquakes. The report I saw they said largest was 8.1 1000 kilometers (620 miles) off coast but that one hit closer and awoke many during the night as they felt a long, rumbling shaking. I have heard that quakes are common in that part of the world but still hope all are ok.

We’re all good, thanks dragonglow, Lots of people felt the various quakes, many in far north island in particular were evacuated; an interesting wave form in one part of the country, but no tsunami as such.😅

well in this decade of change, it appears another has arrived.
I am taking a break, likely stopping altogether but who knows, from this game and from my diminishing activities here as a Mod.
Reasons; I like BREEDING dragons. Not being forced to play several times a day to earn event currency to BUY dragons. I like decorating islands, not cramming in and then hibernating, even the most recent dragons, with no room for decorating.
I think I have worked out the DECA approach; keep releasing dragons, keep piling on events, use FOMO to push player anxiety levels, make breeding odds impossible (except for some repeatedly fortunate players, which keeps the rest chasing the dream of a successful breed) so that players use all gem and E resources and need to spend RL$ to buy the impossible to breed dragons, and around we go.
Am hopping off the not-so-merry-go-round. The game, which used to bring me such delight in the early days that I talked it up to friends (and would def not do so now) with carefully developed (Glorious) dragon types, and well thought out decos and events, is IMO now just a cash grab, or more nakedly a cash grab.
Thanks to all the mods for giving me a chance (Fletch_smf) putting up with my early stumbles, and being a great group of people. I have loved dearly both this game and this forum. This makes me sad, but I understand. I just started playing again. I used to put maybe $10 a month into the game to purchase gems. Well. I have spent $50 in the past few days just trying to catch up only to have another event right on my tail. I actually bought dragon cash because I had just purchased islands at full price. What was I thinking?
I am not one of the lucky ones. I have been trying for a freaking Canvas and Aquamarine since they became available...to no avail. That is just two. I have all the dragons I missed since I stopped playing to breed. I wish we had more time between events to breed the new dragons. I also wish the price for a gem habitat didn’t increase from 150 gems to 350 gems, but...if wishes were horses and all that rot.
Update: After checking my bank account, I found I didn’t spend quite as much as originally thought. That being said...does that mean I now have Extra money to buy more breeding caves for this event? 🤔 See how that works?

When something stops being fun, you should definitely stop doing it. You know where we are if you want to pick it up again, or just want to come and chat. Please keep us informed of what's going on in your life. Especially when you move.
I’ve been on that verge so many times. What keeps me going is my love for my many great Friends, some from many, many years ago from an earlier web site.

Well, today I was in Grand Junction so I decided to try one of those Chick-fil-A Grilled Spicy DeLux sandwiches the DV ads have been hammering me with for the last month in English AND Spanish! It was 1:30PM and lunchtime shoulda been just about over but there were still two lanes of cars, wrapped around the building, merging down to one where you paid.
That sandwich was SOOOO GOOD! And so was the Diet Lemonade! It’s now tied with Freddie’s California Steakburger and Culver’s Double Butterburger for my favorite fast food sandwich...😋😋
I must also complement the Chick-fil-A staff on their efficiency in managing that huge drive-up line. It was just as fast as any other drive-up line I’ve ever been in and with way more cars...nice job guys! 😎

I completely agree grandpakenny - Chick-fil-A really does a great job with their drive thrus! And with ANY of their spicy sandwiches!
