Hey jamesvaler, I'm wondering about the possible 795 maximum that you've surmised, but I'm not too sure that'll be how it works. I didn't get any tickets from the colosseum after I'd hit my 500 max for the day, not even in my Social menu. It looks like all those tasks (including friend gifts) you mention are also limited to the 500 maximum, with only the special event games that can yield extra tickets which will be stashed in the Social menu.
Perhaps in order to surpass the 500-ticket daily limit, we'll need to not collect any tickets from our Social menus, by collecting our gems and treats only after we've reached the daily limit. We should also only do the event games after we hit the limit, so that the extra tickets will go to the Social menu. This would get the game to accumulate these extra tickets and carry them forward until the end of the event. But then again, we've seen how some players' devices act when there're too many gifts in the Social menu, so that's a little risky.
One possibility I foresee is that the game might collect whatever tickets we've got in the Social menu at each reset, but we'll have to wait and see about this.
Also, the extra tickets are no good to you unless we can redeem them during that last week when we can't earn any more. And with only 7 days max, there is no point in bankingmorethan3500extras. About 50 tickets extra per day should see you covered.
The other advantage is to help on those slow days when you can't access the game as often as you need to,
Seems to me that banking 3500 extra tickets would be spectacular enough!

I just got 5 more plays in the 'ID the Dragon' game for a total of 10 plays. Might have to exit the game to get more if it's not showing up.
Thanks for posting this! Had already played the games and was able to go back in and play 5 more times with the double amounts. Didn't hit a limit on it, yay!

3000, the event ends in the 22nd, and collection ends on the 28th. So you need only get so many per day. May I ask, once you've hit the cap, and you collect a gift, it doesn't go into the BFS gift, does it?

Remember to start the next one before you reach your daily cap of one thousand! Just having one challenge tent adding 50 or 100 tickets to the BFS ticket gift should max you out for the last six days of collection. Koala!

The number of wishes made has probably almost doubled, as everyone recast their wishes. So yes, I would think you should be seeing more and more of that bar over time.

Also, since it's so easy for me to hit the cap, I think I'm going to keep my island uncleared for the next event just in case.

I don't know if it was a glitch or not but usually you only get so much of whatever the current event currency is for clearing an island, then it caps out. I am able to continue collecting tickets and have cleared all shrubs, small trees and rocks on my island I just summoned.
Also, is the midday dragon one that we can breed through a combo? I don't want to waste tickets if I don't need to.

I wonder if it is possible to get a Midday by breeding an Epic with Midday. It should be. I'm not sure which prize I will get first. I want Midday, Sun Theme, the balloon... The figurines not so much, just for completion sake if I have enough tickets. Any strategies? I'm not really sure what to do, especially about the dragons.

Get the doubles notice and am receiving double points...but of course I've already gathered the bulk of stuff. I'm going to have to visit a lot of friends for party hats today, I fear. {sigh}.

You can go back to some of the items and collect the double points if you did not get them when it first started. You may have to exit the game for it to show. koala.
