Note to Bloodstone et al, winning Gold in the Colosseum gets you 50 candies.

I didn't notice any additional candies for Gift Gems or Treats - maybe they were leftover gifts from before the Event Start?
I got 20 from a gem + treat gift and 10 from a gem gift.
Collecting from Party Hats could be an all-day chore when high-level parks take 10 minutes to enter (and 10 minutes to go Home)!
Yeah, going to avoid this as much as possible.
You should be able to reliably get 500 tickets per day from doing the competition ring 5 times.
Tree of Trials should net at least another 100 (usually more)
Lets assume 50 from gold in the Colosseum.
So that's about 350 candy from all other sources combined over a 24 hour period.
I think that should be doable without any major grinding.
The only bad thing is most folks will be getting a lot of long fails while working on Sanguinite, so egg hatching will not be super reliable source of candy unless they can plan around that issue.

The elements were listed for me when I put a dragon in this morning...
When you click the tent (or whatever it is now), it brings up your list of dragons, at the top is the name of the challenge and to either side the 2 elements needed. Click each element in the filter box and look for something in both lists
I just enter a high level dragon containing those elements. In the Faire i would also take a hint from the challenge title when it was epics at end. So for 'star gazing' as title i would use one of the moons, or snow blowing, one of the snowflakes.

Same here. The lo-o-ong loading times don't help either. My dentist's office called with an appointment date and i pretended to check my calendar because i didn't want to have to reload DV! (I think i need a support group of some kind. : /) Can't go back and forth between browser and game either to check out info. I just sent backflip a note yesterday telling them how much better i liked the Faire over previous events because i could choose how i wanted to collect points and didn't have to resent playing because i could reach the daily max fairly painlessly. I should have kept my yap shut. Jinxed it!

Not only more grinding, but the slowness of loading and hesitation in the game are making it very tedious and unenjoyable. I am definitely in event burn-out!
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890
Does banking work just like the last event? You can only bank from the Compeition Ring and Tree of Trails?

yep, same as the Faire. So we can get up to 100 from the Competition Ring and 40 from the Tree of Trials, double on double weekend days (which is what I'm assuming they meant by "pay attention to what happens when the moon is full"--the waxing moon in the background will be a full moon on the weekends we get double candy). My guess, anyways. Which makes us 4k closer to the 40k goal, at least it's better than the 32k than without it. Combine that with gifts from your social menu and hopefully you'll make it or be close (for all the new content anyways).
Oh and I love the Wizards in their Halloween costumes! Did anyone else click on the pumpkin headed wizard thinking it was one of the pumpkins to collect?
My main park (Sunshine992001) will not load. I waited 5 minutes for it. There is just a tiny bit of the bar that does not fill in. I do not have any problems with my baby park. Anyone who sent gems to my main account, this is why you have not received something from me. I would really like to play Whitbee's Candy Bash in my main park.
