You can trade items between players, right? And you can set the price within a certain range. Therefore, if two players keep selling the same item back and forth, with the beneficiary setting the maximum price, and the donor setting the minimum price, you should be able straight-up transfer DragonCash between accounts.
Do any of you level 50s with overflowing banks feel like testing this theory by giving me a small loan of a million dollars?
It would really help me out as well. I need 475,000 for the next expansion, and I only get about 20k per day at the moment.
I need 95k for the *first* expansion, so I'd sign up for this scheme too

How were you not on my friends' list? Just sent a request. Be sure to read the message with it.
Hopefully an Android player will jump in here shortly.
Unfortunately that's not really possible. The Android version of DV2 only came out like 2-3 weeks ago, so any Android players would be stuck in the same rut as magpac and me.

Looks like Backflip has finally achieved cross-platform compatibility. If you sign in with Facebook, you can play your iOS park on Android, and the other way around, in theory.
In practice it doesn't quite work because Android has a newer version right now, so parks that have been opened on Android won't open on iOS after that.

Something interesting about the market: If your item is on sale for more than 24h and nobody's bought it, Silvia (NPC) will make you a lowball offer. The offer being the minimum possible asking price. I guess that's her business strategy since she doesn't charge transaction fees
Also, it's probably worth mentioning in the new user guides that listed items can never be delisted, and their price can never be changed. That caught me somewhat off-guard. If you pay the gem fee to remove the listing, your item is destroyed and not returned to your storage.

A few questions. But first, thanks for working so hard to give us all of this information.
Is there any room in your guild? If so, what is it called, and can I join? I'm level 14 on android.
I got one of the flies in a spin. It looked like I got the spin based on a calendar. I see that on specified days I'll get a spin in this calendar. There seem to be five spin days. I see that there are five flies in the set. I find it very slow to earn cash in this game so I sold the fly for money to expand and upgrade some habitats. My question is, have I now lost my chance to complete the fly set by selling my first fly? I haven't seen any other way to gather flies.
Please forgive the lame questions. I'm still learning.
Thanks, Shadokat

Thanks Fletch_smf. I requested to join your guild.
Mr. Bones, I wish I had taken a screen shot. I will the next time I get the spin that has the fly on it, if I ever get one again. It was part of the daily gift calendar. If you notice, on day 3, and every week thereafter, there's a picture of a spinning wheel. You get a spin on that day instead of food or dragon cash. This was the first time in the game that I had gotten a chance to win a fly with a spin.
I had to start my calendar over because I missed a day playing and the game asked for 150,000 dragon cash to keep the calendar where it was and not go back to day 1. I didn't have 150,000 so I let the calendar go back to day 1. On day 3 I got a spin which had a fly on it. I didn't get the fly the first time but paid gems to spin a few more times until I got the fly. It was not on the spinning wheel that comes up after you finish gathering. That one had a top prize of ten (10) gems the last time it showed up in my game.
Maybe the fly on the spinning wheel is something new since they seem to be adding and changing things frequently. I would imagine that it's been a while since any of the players in this forum were in their first 20 days of playing and trying to get that first gem dragon. Does the calendar stop, or does it start over again after the 20 days to give you a chance to get more of those dragons?
What other areas give you a chance to find a fly? I haven't seen any flies on my gathering menu. Do they come up randomly, like a prize? Or at some level I haven't gotten to yet do they show up on the menu of things you can gather?
Thanks for your help! Penny aka Shadokat

Probably not. Worst case, you can just buy it off the community market again in 20 years when you have enough spare DragonCash to do that.
Tell me about it! Do you have the ear of the developers? I think many things are way overpriced in this game compared to the player's ability to earn dragon cash in the beginning.

Yup, agreed. I'm seriously thinking of buying the 2nd expansion with gems, rather than cash.
Staff are prepping for this. It hasn't been released on US iOS yet, only in the Philippines App Store. When a few more people are able to get it, it will probably open.
Hum mm now I see I did not even type anything here but since I am here. When is the update for iOS that android has coming in to Apple Store? Need a new update cause my android device has not been comparable at all at Google store showed, my android device is Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1" and wondering why it is not compatible for my good android device? I want my games back on iOS cause it plays better and that button play old profile doses not work at all, why is iOS not updated to match androids? I got this game on iOS by using a email that was given to me to get it from the Philippines Apple App Store wished they update it on iOS today so I can play on my iPad Air 2 had to restart over 2x cause I accidentally clicked on my good park, waiting for replies from the support on this issue.

I think that's very intentional, unfortunately. They have to make gems desirable somehow. Judging from old posts, you used to get DragonCash like crazy and you'd reach your cash limit immediately, but leveling up was tedious and drawn-out, so that was the pain point you might use gems on. And now they changed it so it's the other way around.
You can level up relatively quickly with the airship, but you need tons of resources and you're always always always short on DragonCash. This makes gems a lot more valuable because you can use them to buy DragonCash directly this time around. Plus, if you keep feeding the airship all your treats, you're going to stunt your park's growth because your dragons stay at level 4.
Overall, let's just say that DV World makes me appreciate what a relaxed experience DragonVale 1 is in comparison.

Every hour you get a free listing. Just keep relisting your item and it will sell.

I'm not finding it too bad, I should hit level 15 today after 8-9 days of playing, I have 32 different dragons, with 10 at level 4, 20 at level 5, one at 6 and one at 8, thanks to the daily spin giving me the food I needed to get it there to fulfil the Airship requirement.
I have 4 large habitats, and should start upgrading my 5th today, and I expect I will unlock the second expansion, with gems, today too.
Now can anyone tell me how to display a pedestal when you breed a dragon? Or do you need to buy them.
magpac, When an egg is ready to hatch click on the Hatchery. Choose the egg and when it pops up look in the bottom left corner for 'Display'. Click on that and it will tell you if you already have the pedestal. You can then choose to accept it as a pedestal or go back and hatch it as a dragon.

Well, good job. You must be doing something right because you're in way better shape than I was at level 14.
I'm hesitant to use gems as a DragonCash substitute because I'd like to save them for premium items, but it's looking like a better and better idea by the minute.
By the way: Thanks, Cyn, for telling me about that. I completely missed that you could trade gems for DC. I never even looked at that menu because I'm allergic to green plus signs.

I didn't know this and I don't know why you should accept eggs as pedestals. Could anybody please explain for me?

It's just decoration and bragging rights. It's something you can do.
