Random tangent, but I wonder whose bright idea it was to make the volume settings account-based instead of device local. On my tablet, the music is blaring at the lowest volume. So I turned it down in the options menu. But of course that doesn't work until I actually log in! When I start up the game, it's still at full volume.
So every time I start the game, it's like DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO, DOO doo doo doo doo

You only need to buy one of each. You will not get extra Birds, Knights, Wizards, or Witches if you have more than one of the decorations. A pending project of mine is to track each one and report the results. I think I'll wait until after the reset in case things change. Before the last upgrade they used to give Food and DragonCash. I hope they bring back the Food with the new changes.

Something is very wrong with breeding like to get a flytrap hatching time is only about 2 hours but taking 12-16 hours to hatch? Timer in game broken? And how much longer before we get our huge big updates on iOS and Android? .
Probably not soon? I haven't even gotten the doomsday message in my park yet.
It would make sense if DV World was reset and released worldwide after the Pentournament. Some of the Faire winners have let it slip that they got a peek at DV World.
Or alternatively, don't reset my park at all. backflip pls. i dont wanna.

Well, just dropped into my park, and it was reset. The popup says, "Big changes are happening in DragonVale World! Your park has been reset, and your purchases refunded to your Inbox and park currencies. Please read the FAQ at facebook.com/dragonvaleworld for more information!" Looks like the Facebook page has launched.

Now the wait begins for the updated APK file for Android......
And, it's on APKPURE already, yay, loading it now.
I was also reset, and I have 110,000 gems, 17.2 million DC, and a million treats.
And a Wisteria Dragon. And a Deadwood. AND the next Dragonsai unlock on my calendar is an enchanted one!
I'm actually blown away. This really is generous. It's just a good thing I read this forum because I still haven't received the notification about my park being reset.

The elemental dragons seem the same, but Desert and Cavern have been replaced with Frozen. Some of the Desert and Cavern dragons have been reshuffled under Jungle, from what I can see. There are also new hybrids, like Wildfire, a Fire-Jungle hybrid. Enchanted versions aren't elemental any more, and there's only 1 enchanted version per dragon. But Rainbows have 7 enchanted versions, one for each colour of the rainbow!

Edit: wish I hadn't. Now I cannot enter the game anymore. I get the message 'oops, sth bad happend in your park...' blah blah. Darn. Well, it was fun while it lasted. If any of you guys have an idea how to either work around it or fix it I would love to hear it.

Happened to me too. Updated the game and kept getting the error message. It absolutely would not let me back in no matter how many times I tried. I uninstalled the game figuring I would download it again but this time from the US store instead of Singapore but it is not showing up in the App Store for Mac.

So what did your compensation package look like? If I got 110,000 gems from ~3 weeks of progress, you're probably a multi-millionaire now.
300 000+ gems. Pretty sure it's more food and coin then I can use. Also got my two gem dragons gifted to me, so pretty happy about that.
Big, big changes. Variants seem to be gone. Enchanted dragon seems like just one type for each dragon, but maybe not even that. Doesn't seem like dragons can be stored in their locations anymore and the Guild is not active yet. Also, new base types, like Frozen and their associated hybrids. Sort of like starting from the beginning again. Good and bad. Major overhauls required here of the information threads. lol And sigh …
