Alright. Since I know how tough DVW's early game is, and since it's entirely possible to transfer DragonCash, I'm offering a small loan of 2 million dollars to help fellow forumites get through that progress swamp.
That's a joke, of course. It's not a loan. You don't have to pay it back.
You'll need:
a forum account older than this post
a park that is at least level 10 (so you have access to item trading and the bank)
a park that is not level 25
a Facebook account so you can add me
Transferring DC is pretty easy. I just sell you some items at minimum price, and you sell them back to me at maximum price. Repeat until your cup runneth over.
Hit me up in the DMs if you've got all that 😏
(Please message me on Facebook. I probably won't know who you are if you just add me.)
I guess in the spirit of the "tips" part of this thread's title, here's a pro tip for all new players:
Be careful where you tap if you want to conserve gems. Unlike in DragonVale, there is no confirmation for gem spending here. Well, there is, but only for large sums of 50 or more.
Meaning if you accidentally tap an unincubated egg in your Nursery, or try to clear an obstacle that is already being cleared, that's it - your gems are gone immediately.
Yes, that was a little bothersome... especially on meh tiny phone screen.
Oh and also children are SPECTACULAR at spending your gems, so that was a lesson learned too.
New to this form of DV, have been stopping on occasionally to get a sense of the game, boy is this new release different from the earlier one!
Early questions: 1. Was leveling up dragons and got a quick notice this dragon was now eligible for "training. Of course, I don't remember which dragon and have not been able to find anything online about training.
2. Have bred 2 enchanted dragons (earth and frozen). Because of the lack of resources and habitat space, do you recommend selling off the regular versions?
3, When breeding and getting a breeding time that is not listed for any of the possible outcomes does that mean it will be an enchanted dragon of one of the elements?

1: sounds like a short bug in the game
2: I have 3 habitats of each type (jungle, earth, fire and so on). Don't know how far you are, but you will be able to upgrade habitats, so they can hold 4 dragons each. In my fire habitats, I got fire, fire+jungle, fire+earth, fire+fairy (and so on) In my earth habitats, I got earth, earth+fire, earth+jungle, earth+fairy (and so on).
At some times it was'nt possible, because I got the habitat upgrade later, but now at lvl 50, I have space

Thanks for the reminder, Mr. Bones! For all of you newbies who have made it to Level 10, I put items in my store and have not listed them so only those of you who see me as a friend can purchase them. I set the price at the lowest level so buy them and set your price high when you sell them in the Market. Make sure you advertise! You get one free advertisement per hour so you do not have to spend Gems. I ask that all my regular customers at higher levels refrain from purchasing so our newest players can level up quicker. Going to be on the road this weekend but I will replenish when I have a chance.
To all the new players who have been gifting me Gems, MANY THANKS! However, cut it out now! I have over half a million Gems so send your Gems to your fellow newbie players.
Just installed the game. It's like playing DragonVale all over again. Cute, but lack of money is frustrating. And the 2nd cave costs 250 gems? really? Did it cost in DragonVale this much too? I don't remember. Anyway, how do you close the game? Where's the exit button? I can't find it (

Congrats on getting to 50, and thanks for the response. Am only at level 10, real newbie here. When getting an enchanted form did you keep both the enchanted and regular versions? Have been able to upgrade a few types of habs so far with 2 of each type, except water. Just got that one.

Thanks I always keep both The book in the "dragonarium" only counts dragons you actually have. So if you sell the unenchanted, it will say that you miss that dragon. So my goal is to get 'em all
The upgrades will be unlocked as you lvl up. The costs of the upgrades is more expensive at the later habitats (like fairy, air and so on). So take your time. No rush getting finished, 'cause when you have all of the "normal" dragons, and is in lvl 50, there's not much to do. And the enchanted dragons has become pretty rare. So take your time, and enjoy the game
It takes a bit planning to fit all of the dragons in habitats in the beginning, but when you unlock upgrades along the way, it will be better
Remember, I was a newbie too in the beginning I just have too much freetime, to spend in the game I'm sure there's things in the game, I'm not familiar with yet. I'm from denmark, so the game was released ealier here. But there has been a lot of changes from then at till the official release. Enchanted dragons was SO much easier to get. The gem-dragons gave a lot more gems. The airships was better. That might have made it easier for me to get that far. At some point, I think it's fine that they nerfed it a bit, so it takes more time to "finish" the game

Now this is really disappointing. One of the things I love about dragonvale is even when you hit max level there are still a bunch of things to do. I expected BFS to continue with DVW too. It's disappointing that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hello Mr. Bones! I am new to this forum and did not saw this post until I made an account. Wondering if you would still give me a loan of 2M DC since I really am need of one. I currently have 20k DC and I will have to burn through it to level up/finish goals and farming costs me a lot of money. I am currently level 9 and thinking about buying a new patch of land (25 gems) so it can levenl me up to 10 (is that possible). It would be really great if you cam help me out and also throw in a few tips and tricks for a newly starter. Thank you!

There's airships The events (breeding, airships, collecting coins, collecting food) Getting the enchanted dragons (takes a LOT of time) I have'nt decorated yet, just thrown in habitats Achievements (like hatch 100 dragons with air trait) I can still upgrade some habitats Not all of my dragons is lvl 20 yet
(And that's just a list of things I can still spend time doing )
So it's not boring. I just miss the fun in chasing a specific dragon

Pixie is a very satisfied customer! Mr. Bones was so patient with me, even after selling my product in the open market by mistake. OOPSIES! If Mr. Bones is able to help you, make sure you have added the bank to your park before starting, and don't hit the advertise button!

Oh wow, good to know selling the regular form of the enchanteds removes them from the found dragons list. Will definitely keep them then. Have found 1 ench earth and 2 ench frozen and kept them all. Am thinking to sell the 2nd ench frozen when space is needed.
Remember well trying to fit all the dragons into the early DV game. Love starting over again. Also enjoying the weekend challenges, even though it will be impossible to finish this first one, still fun trying.

I'm new to the game, would you maybe be able to help me out? My profile is Facebook here.
I cannot believe I started another DV game. I will have to say, I do like DV World. The one difference I noticed is the cost of items. Take the dragonsai tree, it's 100 gems in DV but 500 in DV World. Also, in DV gemstones can be breed, in world they are asking real $$$. A lot of real $$$. Been all over the internet looking for breeding but found nothing. I am at level 16 with 18 dragons at level 9. Working on levelling up to 10.
There was a mini event this weekend involving feeding your dragons. I reached the 200,00 coins and 10 gems, but I know I won't make the 503,000 for the enchanted frostburn dragon, so not even trying. I am however taking advantage of the 2x food harvest. I see some of you on my friend list from DV. Glad I found the DV World forum because I just love this community. You all are the best. Full of help.
Question: am I correct in assuming you need the bank in order to collect beyond 1 million coins? DV has no limit, is it different in DV World? Currently my bank is at 2 mil. Next upgrade to 5 mil.

Great seeing so many familiar faces here again, and some new ones, too.
Worked the mini-event this weekend too, but only got the coin reward and 1/2 way to the gem reward. The double food was really helpful getting most of my dragons to level 8, and me to L13. Thanks to Mr Bones, was able to buy new land and get it cleared.
No party hats to collect, that kind of makes me sad, and can't visit the older parks that have not updated yet to see what has been created. Have a feeling there is more in store for us.

Ha, no expert here by any means, but yes it does seem there are limits on the amount of coins you can collect, then you need to buy the bank and upgrade it to raise the limit. That's quite different from DV.
Also, you don't have to buy gem dragons, just keep logging in each day and collect from the calendar for 20 days to get your first gem dragon. Not exactly sure how it works after that. If continuing to collect from the calendar gives a new dragon every 20 days, or it allows you to level up the dragon you already have. Hoping someone will have an idea.
