Okay, so this combination (not 100% sure of the order)
Resulted in this
So with one parent having the maximum Spell (the Gotto dragon in this case) the maximum spell was passed along. I have bred dragons with both parents having the minimum spell and no spell was passed along to the offspring. Still trying to make sense of it.

Not sure if it's been covered yet or not - did you guys notice offspring can get upgraded spells compared to the parents? I've only cast the lowest level of spells and offspring has gotten a varied mix of level 1, 2 and even 3 of said spell.

Yes, the accumulation of spells is a great advantage, but we're still trying to work out the rules. They have changed since the launch of the game, so that it's not a guarantee. It might be that if the parent dragons have the same spell on them, or the same last spell, it is passed on. Still checking. Anything you want to pass on with regards to this would be appreciated.
I would love to give this dv world a try, but it is not available in my app store yet. I do wish us normal folk could find that magical key ;-)
Can't blame a girl for trying!
The last email I got from BFS said they would be announcing on Facebook before the launch, so make sure you've liked their page. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
Did the update and saw some noticeable changes such as food menu for farm plots has a reversed order now.
Edit: and the tab on the left which had extra tasks is gone. No more ways of levelling up a teeny bit faster now except for clearing objects of course. And the applaud option is gone I think.

They should add an ' are you sure' button to the game..I spent way too many unnecessary gems just now by accidentally speeding up breeding. It's still early in the morning here :-(

Yeah, that is a trap. My daughter was clicking on a bunch of obstacles to clear them, and because of the position of the buttons accidentally spent a bunch of gems to clear a big one.

yup... Initially I had 100 gems, but by touching my screen one too many times, my 100 turned into 25 :-(

Did they disable quests? That ?-mark tome icon is now gone in the latest version of the game at least for me.
Yep, I noticed the same thing. We have to rely on visitor tasks only from now on.
Hoping its temporary due to buggy quests or something. Or maybe we got quests faster than we should have? Back to back quests did seem a bit too good to be true!

I have this suspicious feeling it is not temporary, but we'll see. I liked the quests because of their additional challenges in the game. Now all I can do is breed, wait, earn food and coins and do tasks every hour or so. Becomes a tad booring after a while ;-)
I think they are revamping the Quests and they will be back. They need to use Quests as more of a training tool for players. Maybe Quests of the future will be tied to helping players understand the breeding dynamics of the game and help acquiring the rare dragons. I also noticed that as I leveled higher the bonuses given out jumped. Maybe they realized players were able to level up too quickly and they are trying to slow us down.

A couple of things I've noted in the last few days.
Rewards for gathering: I noted that it would be impossible to be at the level 3 reward level for all four base elements in a location, so I wondered if you needed to STAY at that level or just GET to that level. Here's what I mean: I put enough fire-trait dragons (100 levels) in Brightleaf Jungle to reach reward level 3. Then I removed some of them so I had less than 100. If I look at the "Rewards" tab, all of the level 3 rewards for fire are "LOCKED". However, I have still been gathering "Flaming Flowers", which are one of the "LOCKED" rewards.
Spells: there seems to be a bug in the spells menu where the required ingredients for a spell can get messed up. Check it out:

This is true. But the unlocked decorations don't stay available for purchase (or they didn't). But as long as you have bought one you can always buy another.
