I've been able to get both Ire and Serenity with Eridanian. Which event gives the weather station ? I would love to get rid of those flower petals but wasn't going to pay 1775 gems during BEB.

At the top of every page is a big banner that says "Dragonvale Community" At the bottom of that banner is a blue (hint: I'm colour blind) bar. At the right side of that bar, it will say "welcome guest. login or register" click that and it will take you to the appropriate screen
It is easy and free. What's more we don't bite. Unless you are a dragon of course. Some of them are delicious.
I know how to sign on to pro boards. I am having trouble with gamecenter. When I log on to game I don't get dropdown welcome sign and when I go to friends only No yard is there. If I click game center on phone,it shows me but no games and no friends. I am on iPhone. I don't want to delete my game, too scary and I have been playing for years, and would be heartbroken to lose my dragons (all but lace) anyone? Help
Sorry. As a guest I thought you were referring to the forum. To log in and out of GameCentre, you need to go to the Settings App. Scroll the left column until you get to GameCentre. It is in the third or fourth group down. Tap on it. If you are already logged in, you will see your email at the top, then your alias. Tap on your email. You will be prompted to signout. Do so. Then you will return to the main screen where it will offer "sign in". Again, do so. I hope you remember your password. You will need it. Oddly the sign OUT screen also offers you "I forgot my ID". But if you are already signed in, as you must to see the the sign out message, your ID is displayed for you.

I've been having this same problem since half way through the previous event. I contacted Backflip Support, but didn't hear a squeak from them. I thought they'd eventually get around to it as someone else posted the same problem. Then I thought it may come right with the latest IOS update - but it hasn't.
I'll contact support again, as it is very annoying. Sometimes it pops up a second time when I'm already into my park!

Same for me. If you find a fix, please share!
(Always asked for "local" or "Game centre" park This happened to me a week or so ago.
What happened was I accidentally shut the cover on my iPad (putting it to sleep) just after starting up the game. What I think happened was that it had enough time to build the start of the park, but not enough time to populate it from the server copy. When I reopened, and subsequently, it interpreted that stub park as a local park and popped the question. I resolved it by deleting DV and reinstalling. Is also deletes all local data- i.e. The stub park - but not the server side park, so the problem goes away
My suspicion is that BFS were getting complaints from people losing their local park when others played a server park on their device. Their fix meant that they are now keeping the stubs, resulting in the annoying pop up.

So I didn't get the 3rd omnitat way-back-when. And I balked at paying 1250(?) gems for it during BEB. Now it is available for 1830 roses.
Interesting to compare buying with gems vs Roses at current sale rates: At the moment $7.99 OzBucks gets 275 gems. 4.5 X 275 = 1250 gems (approx) which is $36 OzBucks.
And $7.99 + $2.99 gets 1500 + 560 = 2060 roses. So it is $11 for the Omnitat using roses.

But the downside is that Roses are a limited currency. You can save up 1250 gems in time for next BEB. If you buy the omnitat with roses you may not get something else. Without spending real money anyways.

The weather station was introduced in the Starfall Event which happened between April 9 - May 5 last year.
Remember, incorrect guesses award 1 (2 on doubles) rose!
Ahh.
I have seen that first pattern in two of my parks now so it appears the deal is not entirely random. They may have a similar bucket to the one they use for races etc. that means it would be worthwhile to collate the patterns. (Hi Buffy!)
EDIT: my latest pattern is
BCTOET HHECBH OHROOR
Sorry I seem to be using a different schema to everyone else. Not sure what the scoring is so haven't changed it B = bow and arrow C = chocolate bar T = teddy O = candy (from the shape) H = heart E = envelope R = ribbon

I don't have the money to buy roses so I am considering what my best options might be. I'm wondering if purchasing all the available habitats first is the way to go. It is likely that I will be able to breed any dragons I miss out on at a later time, at least during BEB, but habitats would have to be purchased during BEB with gems and I'm still saving up my gems to buy all the stuff I missed out on cause my park was down for 9 months. Stuff like whatever it is that lets you level epic dragons to 15 and so on. Does this make sense? Should I get the habitats first? I can get 2 auras and 2 omnitats for 7650 roses and then work my through the dragons. I hate to miss out on any dragons of course, but I will have to give some stuff up that's just reality. It's all about what is the smartest decision I can make under the circumstances.

Max you can earn through the event is probably 23,500. You can add another 2500 through banked rewards from BFS. Then you can add Gifts from friends on top, which will be different for everyone.
How many of the prizes for this event do you need?
This spreadsheet may help you calculate what you can get, and what you want to prioritise. Use the Drop down boxes in B20 to B39 to pick your prizes and you will get a tally of what you need to earn.
Does anyone know if it's possible to breed past dragons (Rose/Thorn/Love) that are in the prize shop using past possible breeding combinations now? or is it only possible to currently get them spending roses if we don't already have one?
I can confirm that it is possible to breed Love. Using Firefly/Flower, I just got my second in my small park. I'm working on Moonstruck, but it hasn't shown up yet.
Here's my game board today. Please let us know if yours matches.
Just looked through my collection of sticky notes. I did have 50 Teddy on the bottom left corner of one, and felt the rush of lotto fever! Sadly, I'm not a winner. Still hanging onto the sticky notes though. Edit: my tallies: 50 14 100 14 100 14 14 6 40 30 60 6 6 30 6 60 50 40
So, end-of-event-period strategy for the Matching game is to match all but the 100 until I've nearly reached maximum, enter last Arena challenge and then match the final cards. Will that work the same way as the final play of Name That Dragon?
Yes, it did! Total of 298 to the bank.

So the daily limit this weekend is 2000? I can't open the spreadsheet on my ancient phone... hope to get a new one soon but I worry about switching during an event. What does that say about my DV addiction that I'm postponing a much needed tech upgrade because I'm afraid of losing a few roses?

Hi cynmed, love your icon! fwiw; my personal strategy back when I was starting out, about 6 months ago I think, and it was a logic work through rather than a numerical or cash work thro, cos I can't think like that ( ) was that real estate always comes first...so there are homes for the dragons; and omnitats are top, they have proven to be so useful in so many ways, and allow me to field dragons to earn, when I don't have the DC or gems to upgrade full habitats ( so I bought all 3 omnis); then event dragons that will not be available to breed later ( my error here was not buying monoliths, and they have not been available since, other than for gems, which I as yet have few of and run out all the time); i am sure other vastly more experienced players will add strategies in response to your q, and from different points of view, so you can select or combine a strategy that suits your intentions for, and enjoyment of, this fab game cheers and much koala to you!

And unlike name that Dragon, where you got booted out of the game when you reached the max, the matching game lets you keep accumulating and banking until you run out of tries! I banked 184 roses from the game alone.
Where are you finding the Omnitat available? I am playing on Android (Kindle). I have checked and rechecked all three prize levels and the only habitat listed is the Aura Habitat.

Indeed! My current strategy: play the match game, writing down the values on paper until only the 50 cards (100 on doubles) are left, then exit the game. Spin the wheel until 1 try is left (hoping for gems!). Then, when close to the max, start the arena and use the last try to finish the match game... netting said 298 (on doubles) roses to the bank!

I was hoping to get all the habitats that are available to me and all dragons with the exception of love, rose, moonstruck and thorn. Thanks for the work you did making that spreadsheet for people to use, it does make calculating easy.
It is likely that I won't be able to gather enough roses even with banking and gifts to get everything I want. I'm thinking the habitats and any dragons that will not be breedable in the future should be top priority.
Thanks for your help.
