Has anyone had luck with Mono 6? Since I was able to breed Swallowtail, I'm thinking of just purchasing it. What with the quest for a Quartz egg, I'm out of sites for the Tempest.
I was able to breed using Mono 1 (dark blue) and mono 2 (medium blue). But lots of fails unfortunately.
So, thanks to that page to check points, and the luck of CBCing two new dragons (thanks friends), I think I can finally afford my lost island and epic statue... But patients grasshopper, it is not yet spending time....

Just wanted to share my progress with this event, but first I want to send out a huge thank you to all of you who have been gifting my daughter's account, greengoofybird. It looks like with your help she should be able to get the Relic and monolith dragon that she wanted.
I play in two accounts, and have been super lucky in my primary and struggling with the second. In redgoofybird I found the Chrysalis dragons to be profuse breeders for me. During the Rose event I had zero luck breeding a single Aura dragon by cloning during the entire event, so decided to try something different with these Chrysalis dragons, since the company provided them with their own unique breeding combos. I purchased the Chrysalis dragon to get me started then was able to quickly breed a Duskwing, Lacewing, and Swallowtail (and a double rainbow thrown in for fun). I kept breeding and now have duplicates of several of them and have also received a Chrysalis twin and swallowtail twin from friends. Getting all of these dragons through breeding has freed up most of my eggs to buy many of the other cool prizes that I want, including the Monolith #6 because I have not had any success getting this dragon yet. In my bluegoofybird account I used Serenity for several weeks to attempt cloning the Chrysalis dragons and only ended up with hybrid failures, another Serenity and a double rainbow. Last week I finally had enough eggs saved up to unlock and buy the Chrysalis dragon to breed with a Lacewing and after trying all week I just got the dusk wing. Mu husband and kids who play also really struggled breeding these dragons, with only succeeding to breed 1-2 dragons each. I know a lot of members here also struggled with these dragons, so it is really weird that my primary account was so prolific, but I am grateful.
As a side note, I want to say that I really appreciate this forum and the work to goes into keeping it running. I have found it to be a great resource for me. I suffered a head injury back in December that caused temporary post-traumatic amnesia, so have been unable to form new short term memories. I was told by doctors to find ways to challenge my memory everyday to assist in the healing process, so chose this game to do that. It has been a great litmus test to gauge my memory progress day by day, but I didn't expect to get so hooked by the game. Since I started playing I have had to keep copious notes and screen shots of what I do in the game step by step, as I would log back in to check on my dragons and then not recognize which dragons were in the breeding caves, what I was trying to get with these dragons, or if I had already bred what I was needing, ect, ect.. This past few weeks of this event finally exposed improvement in my memory, as I found myself many times not having to refer to my notes before I logged in and by the second half of the event i wasn't having to look up every egg for the name the egg game. So, thanks again, and I hope to be more involved in this group in time as I start recovering more and spending less time in physical therapy.
Just heard one of the best tips ever! Basically this is a way to get doubles even after doubles weekend ends! What you have to do is go onto auto lock and click never. Then when the doubles weekend is scheduled to finish, stay in the game over that reset time. The game will reset sot hat you can reach a new cap, but you will still be earning doubles. You will not be able to visit another park or reload the game, so you have to be in the game the whole time. Becuase this takes a LOT of power up (constantly being in the game that is), you may want to charge your device. I'm gonna try this next doubles weekend. If you don't want to spend all that time in your park, you could just spend that extra time ensuring that you are gifting people doubles when it's not doubles still!

I think the reason backflip chose the last weekend possible to do doubles is because this will not work. It appears they are catching on to the exploits and trying to close the loopholes, which is why they are limiting the banked eggs to 7k. I'm very grateful they allow us to bank at all and that those don't just all go to treats but ultimately they are running a business and I believe they are trying to get the most out of it themselves. It's possible the exploit will work come Monday reset (morning for me) but I'm not "banking" on it.

I find this incredibly inspiring! Thank you for sharing your personal story of recovery and the progress you're making by playing this game .... My prayers that you experience increasing evidence of healing.

So, we have 3 days of Doubles, but only 2 days of the event left....
I guess we can collect 2000 from our bank on the first day after it ends.
So we can have 9000 in our bank?
As I understand it, can have as much as you can in bank, BUT are limited to 7 days at no more than 1000 a day, for spending: remaining magically turns into dragon treats at the end

Euroknuter; thankyou so much for chrysalis...sorry not a twin... Whew now only have Sallowtail outstanding and can afford to buy it and pedestals Koala everyone on the last push! Tried for a mono and got a 35 hour fail sigh
I've been breeding duskwing and marble non-stop w zero luck. I wish I had the sandbox to tell me the next best match. I'm re-posting this for people (like me) who keep forgetting the combos;)
Buffy- the reason I wanted the lost island is bc its additional space without having to buy another island. My other tiers aren't open bc I can't breed new dragons so I don't have much of a choice lol

As I mentioned before, this event has been incredibly lucky for my main account. Without spending any more gems than usual, I managed to breed 2 lacewings, 2 duskwings, 1 swallowtail, 2 chrysalis, 1 mono 6 and 3 Quartz. Haven't been able to breed the tempest as yet. My baby account on the other hand was very different. I managed to breed 1 Quartz, and none of the event dragons. I probably spent around 300 gems all up in my main account and 100 gems in my baby account. Normally, I only manage to breed 1 or 2 of the event dragons, so this has been a huge bonus for me. Even without the banked eggs, I will be able to get everything I want in my main account.
Because I am in the middle of packing up to move house in a couple of weeks, I couldn't bear the thought of trying to max out in both parks, so just played as usual in my baby park, and concentrated my efforts to max out in my main account. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

I started "banking" eggs a couple days ago, and have a bunch saved in my gifts. Will I be able to collect them after the event ends, and thereby get more eggs? Or are they going to dissappear if I don't cash them out by the end?! (Today!)

I'm not sure what will happen Monday ... usually when BFS says an event ends, that means reset the following day. We have a timer for the double weekend but it would be nice to collect 1000 on Monday as well. That would mean two of my parks would get all of the dragons . Fingers crossed!!

So I just loaded this game a couple weeks ago and quickly got addicted lol. But I wasn't part of the egg hunt from the beginning so trying to figure out what to do now. I have the first two mono dragons, and habitat. And I hope to spend ALL my gems eep! On catching up tomorrow in the rotund so I can get the free egg (what is it??)and marble dragon. But can I put them in my mono habitat or will they need different ones and if so which ones because I can only buy from the first level or two anyway now. Is there anything else buying with the magic eggs??

Hi houseforjoy, and welcome to this great forum! re your q about what habitats etc for what dragons, the quickest way I think, is to tap on your dragonarium, and dragon habitats are all listed in there ( tap on each dragon, to see ) the free egg differed according to what dragons people had, so for you it'll be a REAL surprise without logging in and out again to bolster my ageing memory; two options for chrys dragons; an omnitat ( holds any) and the chrys Hab which is somewhere in the gifts layers at worst; get the dragons and keep them in storage ( storage tower) or in your gifts menu ( I guess) until you can get one or other of those habitats or buy the storage tower... hope this helps im sure one of the vastly more experienced players than I will also chip in with an answer loads of luck!!

Welcome! You will need the chrysalis habitat (2995?) to put your marbletail dragon in. If you don't have enough eggs it will probably stay in your social menu for awhile. I would be happy to send eggs til the end of the event if you send a friend request to the first 3 parks in my signature ... that should give you a boost!
