Starting 3/24 at 10:00AM BFS Time, there appear to be 11 eggs hidden: 1 Gold = 50 eggs (1 gem?) 2 green = 25 each 3 blue = 10 each 3 pink = 5 each 2 purple = 5 each
13 - 3 gems, 75 eggs 14 - 75 eggs, money varies by level 15 - 500 eggs 16 - 75 eggs, food varies by level 17 - 3 gems, 75 eggs 18 - Uncommon hybrid you do not already have (Bicentennial if you have them all)
I am going to have to spend my eggs buying all the stuff in the first collection if I expect to open the other collections. I don't have anything with the exception of the gemstone reward habitat. That means a cost of 13,195 eggs just to get to the second (iridescent) collection. Oh well. I will just do the best I can and be grateful for what I can get.
It's 1000 eggs a day right? But not counting the 500 egg gift right?
So far, the egg drop appears to be a poor way to collect eggs. I miss the matching game!
I'm also worried about the higher cost of everything in this event. I've run the numbers, and it's roughly 50k to get all new items. Another 3k if you want a second new habitat. If we get 2 double weekends, and the cap is still 1000, then we can only collect 31k by April 4th. That doesn't include the daily gifts, which will sometimes be eggs, but that's a huge deficit to make up compared to prior events.

Yep. They made this one MUCH more expensive, across the board.

50k just to get the new items? That means not including the past items like Relic of the Epics and the Monolith Dragon? Dang... and it's a little harder to bank more roses per day from the games we're given since they always use a turn compared to the last event with the match cards.

Yep. Even for me... . Just have to see how the event unfolds. BFS's wizards are known for conjuring last mininute spells.

I hope they conjure a reduction in price spell. If not, it looks like it will cost 39,475 eggs just to get the habitat and all the new dragons, and that assumes you get the last one for free. That doesn't take into account any other necessary purchases to unlock higher levels.
There's also a good possibility of a "weekend-only" dragon at some point, which will cost even more, if you aren't able to breed one.
Oh dear, trying to get little language training, I had changed my game language to French about a month ago. So today when the eagerly awaited egg hunt tutorial arrived, I could barely understand it! Fortunately the arrows are pretty self explanatory, and we've seen enough of these events that we know how they work. I found only one egg, the gold one that yielded one gem, and I didn't notice if it gave any eggs.

Does that include the 15K eggs for the Marbletail Dragon? It seems to indicate we will be getting 1 of that dragon for free through the Rotunda. If you take those eggs off the top, it gets it down to 35K -- MUCH closer to the 31K and a difference easily overcome by the Rotunda eggs if it is anything like Christmas.

Lots of eggs to gather during the 25 days time or so window, specially for new players.
Let's hope that we can breed them ALL, and FAST! There is always a chance that wizards grant us another wish. Or we can have 3 long double weekends.
I am hopelessly optimistic.
