I went with mono 6, but mainly cause I missed out on the mono event originally and mono 5 and 6 are the only two I have now. I'm not able to bank lots of eggs, so I couldn't have gotten much more anyways.

I need the egg like a hole in the head, but I bought the ugly sucker early on to get it over with and free the caves/islands.
I'm not imposing a monolith-egg collection on myself.
Edit to qualify: low-earning ugly sucker (though they're cute as babies). But genetics is no one's fault.

I'm considering it. Managed to breed enough event dragons I don't need anymore and I don't need the food either really. And Monoliths are -boring-

I payed for the 6th Mono as soon as it was released. Based on my record of breeding the 5th Mono egg non-stop for 3+ months (with no success), I wouldn't even bet my chance on getting the 6th by my own. I would pay another thousands to buy an egg, unfortunately it's not possible So I guess either I will be extremely lucky to breed my own, or wait for another event where the egg would be purchasable.
Ok, my game is 100% busted. This is the 2nd day I've collected eggs and they disappear but don't go into my banked total or daily egg total to spend. I've lost a few thousand eggs bc I clicked to collect all friends eggs. My egg total just keeps swirling with the same total as yesterday.
I take screenshots before I collect and after I collect both of the main screen and the social menu. That way if there's an issue I can send backflip proof.
Great idea! Wow, BFS just responded to both my emails......The only problem is that they weren't my emails. The girl sent me two responses to someone else's emails Lolololol I of course read them and let's just say that there are some VERY angry players out there over the change in banking eggs. The original email was funny but how she sent it to me with a response TWICE boggles my mind. The original person did send 2 emails but I'm so confused how she sent the response to someone else's emails to me?? They must be overwhelmed! I just hope the original sender doesn't get her response bc he will blow his lid. Lolololol

We already bought the Mono 6 dragon figuring breeding would drive us nuts (re: Mono 5 and SF 5). Currently Mono 6 and Tempest pedestals are the only ones missing, so the cave is breeding a mono 3 & 4 combo as the island and CBC are still on Chrysalis duty
For what it's worth... the lost island is chock-full of monolith dragons. What can I say? Park Management loves how they stomp around with giant butt-shaped chins, occasionally squashing the careless stray wizard in our park LOL. The only thing better than having a dragon park is doing it with a 9-year-old. His point of view is awesome

I like the Monolith dragons, and think BFS artists did a wonderful job in transforming real life monoliths into these dragons. You have to picture the Easter Island, Stonehenge, Rock of Gilbrata, Great Sphinx of Giza, El Penon...etc, and if any of one of them moves, each step would be clumsy, and heavy as if they were about to fall over. See, just like the mono, old, mossy, gentle giant dragon.
Dont know why, but when waggintails compares mono to "yucky medicine", I thought of "Quasimodo". I know it's weird, but that's me "weird", and "unconventional"
I have an island full of them and just for them. I do wish I have enough eggs to trade in for a second 5th and 6th Mono. I don't and currently only have one of each.
You don't want Nightmare dragon to look serene, do you? I honestly think Nightmare is the scariest, and ugliest dragon, but then we have the FoY.

I actually like the Mono dragons too and also have a whole island full of them. An adult and babies of each one enough to fill a habitat. If breeding the later ones was easier, I would have 6 mono habitats. But I combined Mono 5 and Mono 6 in the newest event habitat that holds five total dragons. So far, it has four. I was able to breed one Mono 6, and got a Mono 5 fail.
The eggs are my issue -- and I have a half dozen because I purchased the mono event pedestal thinking it was an M6.
They are ugly, but more than that they are redundant AND indistinguishable. I will have to move egg by egg to other islands, and then go to the dragonarium, hit pedestals, Mono 5 and "find" to confirm which one is my duplicate. God forbid I delete one I need to have a complete collection and have to try again for it.
So my amazing luck in this event has continued.... I finally bred one of the chrysalis dragons.... and it's a chrysalis, which is the parent, and one I already have... Sigh.... I was able to buy chrysalis, and duskwing, and then with marbletail free, I only need two... but of course, when I finally breed one it's one I already have. Blah...
On a brighter note, I am going to be able to get Relic of the Epics. I did decide last week to get duskwing which meant no lost island, but at least for now I'm glad I got duskwing instead.
Also, I did finally breed aquamarine when it was on last call(burned through my small gem store to get it) and I got quartz, so my whine from last week got me some progress! Now I just have to whine about lacewing and swallowtail.... WHINE.....
You have everything you need for the rest. Chrysalis and Marbletail produce Swallowtail. Duskwing and Marbletail produce Lacewing.
My fear is running out of time, since we don't know how long they are breedable. In the last few days I've now managed to breed 4 different chrysalis dragons between my two parks... however, they've all been the same as their parents, and ones I already have. I'm actually starting to get amused by it. A marbletail in each park, a chrysalis, and a duskwing. So I'm having plenty of luck now with the chrysalises, just not the ones I still need. Looks like I may have to buy another chrysalis habitat to house my duplicates! As long as I don't start getting three of each, I'm cool with it!

I suppose I should consider myself lucky that I've gotten Arctic fails instead of Rainbow or Double Rainbow fails - but I have been trying to breed a Lacewing in the CBC ever since we got the Marbletail. I've used 200+ gems to speed up. Still no Lacewing. Whine Whine Whine
Random question .. if more than one person has a high-level (15) of the same dragon that you want to breed with, do you switch between them or stubbornly stick with one partner til they switch our their dragon? I've been sticking with one b/c I believe that the secret DV counter will one day trigger and say "Oh, she's bred 74 times with this one person. NOW I'll give her the dragon she's trying to get." and that if I switch partners, that secret counter resets. Magical thinking on my part? Slight twinge of Dragon Fever??

I have 2 of each Monolith dragon. Of those, one 5 and two 6's were bought with event currency. But since the monos were released, I have pedestal-ed nearly every Mono fail when trying for the hard to get ones (initially 3, 4, 5, and now 6). Here are the the number of pedestals : Mono1 : 43 Mono2 : 48 Mono3 : 3 Mono4 : 5 Mono5 : 1 Mono6 : 0
