I maxed out at 4730 last night because I spent some candy on the overgrown path and the spooky habitat for the overabundance of ghost dragons that decided to swarm my park. Still no bone dragon yet. So it looks like it's back to breeding and saving candy for a while.
I got a bone as a fail when coop breeding Nosferatu.
During Events we have found it wise not to spend the Event currency right away as BFS tends to surprise us with an unexpected Dragon that is only available for a limited time. In other words, HOARD! Many also believe it is best when you do start your purchases to buy one (1) of each Dragon first, before Decorations, etc, that way you may be able to breed a second or the Egg Pedestal without having to spend Event currency on them. More Event currency at the end means being able to afford more of the prizes 'cause let's face it, just one of the Wisp Lanterns is not going to be enough!
Omg, I wish I'd read this early. Just bought my first Ortreat dragon and I'm down to 170 candy. (spent on a Wailing Well, Garden Pedestal and a Spooky Habitat) I better start saving for this mysterious unexpected dragon. xD
Yes, its always a good idea to have at least as much event currency saved as the cost of one of the event dragons. In most of the events that I can recall over the past couple years, they dropped a special "this weekend only" dragon on us. They are usually both breedable and purchasable, but only for the weekend (or whatever limited time they give us). Then they are gone until the next BeB. So its a good idea to save enough for when those surprise dragons become available, in case you aren't able to breed one during the extremely brief time they are in season.
Well, the "leave the park open at the end of doubles" exploit is still there, and having Kairos come up at 10m after reset, means I got to 2k today as well

I tried the exploit, but the app crashed when I tapped the giant gem bearing pumpkin - boo!

Has anyone been able to clone a Garden Dragon in the CoOp via Garden x Garden? Because I keep just getting Moss Dragons.
Yes. Took 3 or 4 tries for the clone, then several attempts on the Island to get the egg in my main park. Level 72 park also took several attempts for the clone, but it did happen. Working on the island for the egg.
Whelp, I have two gem friends who went dormant. Seems a shame to let candy go to waste while waiting for new gem friends to respond on the gem thread. TexasTed and woffy2000, I'll send them your way for now. Reciprocation not expected. Cheers!
Hey what happened?? I see you on my friends list and I apologize for not sending gems, I went and looked at my GC and found I have almost 250 friends just for DV. I try to not neglect anyone but honestly it's hard to evenly distribute to everyone. I'll make sure I send you gems. And please don't send anyone else to me, I can't keep up as is!!

Ya gotta read the forums! Currently, only like x like works for the new dragons for breeding, so if you wanted another Garden, you can breed yours in the CBC and get another, but if you want a Bog right now your only option is to buy one. Sorry about your long fail!

i think it may just be me, but i had around 2000 candies banked and now only around 700 is showing? i dont know what happening and am i even doing this right?
to bank candy you dont collect the candy your friends give you right?

Gem friends I was referring to are my MIL and a coworker of husband. I scooped up a couple of y'all as CBC friends awhile ago and figured you could use the candies more than those who aren't playing at all. No need to send anything back, truly. Cheers!

I think I'm in that position onejoebloggs: still ios9, updated DV to current iteration (ooo), and followed the prompts re FB, now able to collect fb gem rewards and all friends present and correct w names, no personalised icons tho, and only one secret admirer ( olds' nomenclature ) All info given w best intent but no responsibility taken until at least 2 others verify
I will confirm, too. They show after you logout/login to FB in Social every time you login thru GameCenter (You only have to FB bind once after GC login if you have only one park).
i was thinking that having us all connect thru FB might have one advantage - we could advise our Friends when we need to temporarily be away from our parks.

to bank candy you dont collect the candy your friends give you right?
As long as you wait till after you've maxed out for the day and before reset, you can collect gems and treats from Friends while the candy remains to accumulate beside their names in your Social menu.
If you accidentally collect before Max, those candies go into your daily total. Might that have been what you did?

I've been looking all over, and I can't find a complete explanation of the changes in friend requests. Is it true that you cannot use game center the way we used to? I don't want to use facebook, darn it!
