I left home Wednesday morning for the land of no internet. I managed to sneak a few minutes each day, but not enough! I returned Sunday evening to eight pages of reading about the candy bash and two for tips. It has taken almost three hours to get the vale and reading caught up. Don't know how those with multiple parks find time for anything else!
I would like to suggest to the moderators, to add a running total of the daily candy total to the posts at the beginning of the pages. (After all I have read, and it's late, I can't figure it out).
Lastly, what is the best way to collect candy, so I am caught up to the max?

edit: I guess I can't get caught up. I just got the message I maxed out and I only have 5222. Going to need koala to breed the event dragons and save some candy.

The running total really depends on how many candies you personally get each day. If you do not max out one day, it will affect your total for the rest of the competition. If you spend any eggs, it will affect your total thereafter.

I really need to work on my timing. Once again I managed to be on vacation at the beginning of an event/limited time situation. I barely managed to find the time to grab the daily max candy corn, and didn't have time to put together an event strategy - mainly because I couldn't squeeze in forum time.
I've been taking for granted how much this group helps you get into the flow for an event - so thank you for all your help and I missed you all.
And can I say how irritating I find it that you once you max out for the day you get the message that you've hit the max every time you do something that would earn candy if you weren't at the max? Seriously, I only need to be told once.
P.S. After spending a horrendous day driving through Oregon and Washington in the pouring rain - I may never get behind the wheel of a car again. Hydroplaning through the mountains along side the big trucks is terrifying. I can say that I've maxed out on scares for this Halloween season.

We shall see if that works....last time it made me sign out in order for it to reset:( I'll keep playing and use my blue friend directly after reset if double candy still remains:) Or do I use him 5 min prior to reset?

I maxed out at 4730 last night because I spent some candy on the overgrown path and the spooky habitat for the overabundance of ghost dragons that decided to swarm my park. Still no bone dragon yet. So it looks like it's back to breeding and saving candy for a while.

Thank you for the exploit reminder! I was able to purchase the hibernation upgrade and earn a sweet 800 candies. Combined that with Kairos and I was able to earn the full 2000 today in no time flat.
Well, the "leave the park open at the end of doubles" exploit is still there, and having Kairos come up at 10m after reset, means I got to 2k today as well

Thanks Pope, saw the message and appreciate the gems, will send gem/treat your way as I share with all of my current friends. Glad to have all the friends I have to share and co-op breed with, send pumpkins/rings etc. during the events. Happy last two weeks of October to all!
