MYTHIC EGG HUNT 2017

I did not do well with this event. Like a newbie. I did not breed any of the event dragons. I panicked and bought the monoliths to have more breeding options. Still no luck. But I did bank a lot of eggs.
Now my time to whine.
I hate (ok dislike greatly), rainbows and double rainbows! I can't believe there was a time I was excited to get one of these high earners.
I would just like to breed a Dragon I do not currently have.

It looks like the return on banked eggs has dropped again.

Do you remember when it was a 'Pile of Treats' for every 1000 banked? Pepperidge farm remembers!

Now it's about 60% of that, so a Pile-of-Treats/~1700 banked.

I still got 123M treats though

Oh, I thought it was just me, lol. I got 23 million treats I think, but had been hoping for the old pile thingy. 😂

(Though, definitely not complaining about 23 mil.) 😻

Theresa,  I can understand your feeling on Rainbows and Double Rainbows.  They always pop up when I am not trying for them and then comes the long long long long long wait for them to reach the nursery.  I don't hate them but dear gawd they seem to be the most unrare of the "rare" dragons to breed.

Fortunately they are great earners so I can't really complain too much about them.  So not a hate but sure is an irritation when you are trying to breed something else.

I'm almost ecstatic right now. I missed out on both of the limited dragons this event (for some reason both Mondays work had me really distracted, so I didn't get to the park until after the reset). BUT...I just got a Sumi from the daily rewards! Wahoo!!

Also, has anyone else noticed a bearded dude walking around? I noticed him today and clicked on him, and got DC, but I have no clue what/who he is? Not a banner- bearer.

Eliminster, he appears when you have both of the Mythic Dragons. Same deal as the Flag Bearers

I had over 34k banked and yielded a little over 70 million treats.

I'm still trying to understand the new breeding rules. Now that the event is over can we still breed the Hidden dragons if we have 1 of them?

It seems that we can clone anything provided we ( or coop pal) have one of the desired outcomes...

Whether the non-outcome pairings ( eg mono 1 X lichen =pond) can be used has not yet been positively ascertained ie no one has reported fixed breeding pairs as producing desired dragon if expired... So I should stop doing that...probably lol

Had to buy both limited dragons this event - that was a first.

Will have to wait for BEB to come around to get the two decos I missed and monolith boost.

Just bred a 2nd Cumulus with Elder Air + Cumulus on the island.  Since this one still works, maybe the rest still do as well.

Olds, Coop breeding is successful to use same X same,
I've got seconds of hidden dragons that way (with tulip and with plateau) , am  trying for second tansy atm w Hyder's tansy ( )

but the dragon breed app I'm using doesn't list pond as an outcome when I enter pond X pond...
So I stopped trying like X like in my own park; am not sure if others (?magpac?) have reported being successful with like X like in their own park....maybe check back a few pages

and Elder with desired dragon in your own park's breeding spots works,
I've also got seconds from that (pond X elder water) now trying cumulus w elder water...

 it's all just low low odds so lots of repeats I think 😱
