What does the twilight tower Riftroar theme do? Or is it just purple to symbolize the rift?
That's the new theme playing when we reset, different from Spooky. There are scary faces lurking in it and it has new music. Do I recognize hints of the Munster's Theme song?

Hi Zekky , and welcome to the funhouse! I just hafta say, wot with your icon, the comment about being 'up to my ears' gave me a good morning chuckle, Thankyou!! Quark was one of my fave DS9 characters Koala with your breeding efforts , and during the struggle, feel free to join the Utterly Rifted Club for Valers feeling more than a smidgeon overwhelmed 😆🐨🐨🐨
Thank you for the welcome and koalas, and I hope they go for a romp in your park, too! I've been enjoying many of the members' comments here whilst stalking the forum, so glad to incite a chuckle myself as well! Pleasantly surprised to find a fellow DS9 fan, too
More than one!

Don't know about the Munster's Theme, but I hope we receive this theme as a gift for the twilight tower after the event, it looks sooo cool!
Haven't been able to keep up with all this, real life seems to be hammering me right now. But I agree that the rift certainly changed things. I don't completely get the breeding, and I'm not happy with all the costs (E, E, E). It would be nice to be able to decorate Rift. My biggest problem is that I also feel overwhelmed. I've played for 3 years now, and had just gotten all the dragons when the Rift hit. I'm having trouble motivating myself to keep at it when I don't seem to be getting much in return and the end is so far out of sight I might as well be walking to the moon.
I don't mean to sound negative, it is simply that I don't enjoy the game like I did. Sad,cause I've spent a lot of time on it, and I am stubborn to a fault. So I will keep plugging, but it has lost the shiny gleam that the game used to have for me
I think the pressure people feel to get all of the spooky traited rift dragons and all of the hybrids with all of the traits in the rift is just their own completionist drive, right? I mean, it makes no difference to the dragonarium if you have a regular, twin, or one rift version of a dragon, it counts that you have that dragon and doesn't need all versions of each type to make it breathe basic fire, just for the fancy colored fire, right? I am not feeling a lot of pressure that I must breed all possible rift variants of all of the spooky dragons during this limited time event, just thinking that they will be some occasional fun changes from the interminable blazing, obsidian, and other basic hybrid fails when trying for the more exotic, unique to the rift dragons. Or am I missing something?

I totally feel you. I had only gotten my shiny fire breathing dragorium this past BEB and only had six months to enjoy its wonderous fire. Now I don't know how long it will take to get it back. So instead of being bogged down by such huge obstacles of 90 dragons with 10 different traits, dragons that need opposites with specific traits, or even now new limited dragons. Set yourself with small goals. Try for all of one element hybrids. Or try for your fave hybrids. Or try to get the hybrids needed for upcoming gem dragons.
It took me 2 years to get all my dragons this time around not only do I have my handy dandy notebook but I also have this wonderful community full of laughs and amazing tips.

I like the wisdom of purplemoon123 and others, for me, this list was the 'mmph' to the brain, on top of all the other Riftie step wise difficult to gets... Now this, and they might be time limited too??!! O dearie me. Quite overwhelming. Then I thought, well it's great for all those Valers who have sparkly dragonariia, and are bored.... So, I might just ignore all these newbies, and keep on in the Vale with small picnic excursions to the Rift, wheeee, naughty!

It's definitely my own pressure. I've been playing since the first release day, never missed a single dragon that was released before it went away and always managed to get 2+egg. Same with decorations. And I'm finally working to complete the last of the twin/twin egg collection. The rift hybrids are fun, something long term to work on with no 'end' date looming. But these spooky dragons with rift elements? Yep, I gotta have them and the deadline is coming up in a few weeks. I may miss my first 'get everything' with this event. And who knows, maybe that'll break my cycle and I'll be fine missing future ones, but right now, it's pressure!
I've been trying so hard to breed a Dodo in the rift, but no success there. However, breeding two sandstorms in the normal breeding cave, what do I get? A DODO? How is THAT possible?! Sneakily hoping for an overnight miracle to shove it through the rift gate, and pick up a trait on the way.

That's just the way the Random Number Generator works.
I had bred for a week for hte Mirage and Shadow I needed, then over the course of two days (less than 12 hours) got BOTH dragons and Lacuna!

Oh, but All the pretty new Traits! And four quick'n'cheap breeds a day! And we can breed for regular dragons in the Rift, too!

Here's a note for oldsmol , I stumbled upon this in another forum totally unrelated to DV, but ...
"By the way, returning to Icelandic which as you know has two th's (the thorn and the eth), both are dental fricatives, except that the thorn is voiced and the eth is unvoiced."
Good to know
