I've searched a squillion and one posts, as I'm sure there was one which listed the order of daily alignments of the rift. I just cannot find it, and it looks as if it has to be aligned in a certain way to breed certain dragons. For example - the new Frost fluff/flower dragon can only be bred if the rift is aligned to cold (I think).
Could someone please enlighten me?

Thanks to a special wizardly friend, I had a HUGE amount of candies and decided to splurge on Spooky Mystery Eggs. Bought a few and since I already had the dragon and pedestal, I was getting twins. Once I replaced my non twin versions and leveled all my new twins to 20, I replaced the pedestals with twin versions. Once that was done, I started getting Rift versions and then twin Rift versions and then different traited twins. Took about 2 hrs but I managed to get all 11 Twin Spooky Rift multi-traited dragons!!! So now I have all 11 non-Rift twins, all 11 non Rift twin pedestals, 10 Rift twins with multiple (but not all) traits....AND TREAT HAS ALL 10 TRAITS!!! imgur.com/Eph3mdj
UPDATE: I now have ALL 11 Spookies!!! They are ALL Twins and have ALL 10 traits each!!!! Feel free to check my park and see for yourself!!! PM me for FB info!! I hope to get a lot of requests, I love the Community and I do return Gems and Treats, may take a while but YOU will get them from me.

I just noticed the cost of the Epic Egg of Mystery has gone up. It ws 4000E, now it's 5000E, just like the Gemstone EoM. I've bought several of the Epics and a couple of the Gemstones, and the price did not incrementally increase with each purchase. It's been a few weeks since I last bought a EoM through the Rift Menu, so I'm thinking the increase must have happened in the Candy Bash update?
New Coop Neighbors are always welcome! PM me so we can exchange FB info

looks like they fixed the glitch that didn't give you a trait immediately after getting it. just released a lightning!glacier and it showed as available as soon as i looks at my tower.

I am so lost in the Rift, DV 4.0 Honestly, dont know where to begin.
In a sense, E3M is like DC when we were just getting started in DV. Collect it frequently, spend it to increase the amount you collect, and keep it up until you get your head above water so to speak. Then you can start looking towards other "goals" to accomplish. Some differences are:
Park level has nothing to do with the number of habitats you can have in the rift: You can have as many as you can buy with E3M.
Dragons all give 1e/level each hour. So a common level 15 dragon = a "rare" level 15 dragon = 15e/hour
Starting out is all about earning Etherium (E3M / e). Don't worry about breeding specific dragons, or breeding specific traits until you reach a steady state of income.
There are, as always, several different ways to "do the rift" and others will likely have great points that may well work for you better than what I'm about to describe. This is kinda what I did (more like what I eventually did once I got the hang of it). I'll try to put it down in a simple to follow path for "doing the rift."
Starting Out
Buy habitats, breed dragons, feed dragons to level 10-15 (depending on your treat supply). Collect every couple of hours. Keep this up until you are getting 2-3k E3M. Clear clouds only enough to add (needed and affordable) habitats. Upgrade habitats when you can. You'll know when you're getting to the end of this stage because you always seem to have enough E3M to maintain a decent park / park growth (or said another way, you aren't feeling like you HAVE TO get into your park every 15 minutes to collect E3M just to try and make ends meet - you can chill and know that max collection is enough).
Branching Out
At this point you should have a few dragons, each with one or more of the traits. You can do a few different things:
Look at the first Rift page and breed for specific dragons using the stated combos
Same as above, but try for specific traits (and start reading posts about how traits work according to what you want to do with them)
Look at the post regarding the hibernation cave and the trait tower and start clearing a path towards one or both. I'm in a good spot and still haven't actually used either yet
End Game
Honestly, I haven't the foggiest idea. I've thought about clearing all the clouds (you don't need to) or getting all the habitats. I figure we'll see more new dragons often enough that it'll be more about breeding than anything else.
Hope that helps

What are you saying?? Lol! Is the last cloud you clear 32000 or is that the cap for the remaining. I sit here with pen and notebook trying to calculate this out ( mostly out of curiosity) and I’m beginning to think that my hubby is thinking straitjacket, 😜

It doesn't cap out as far as I know. There's 128 squares to clear after the tutorial, and 128 times 250 is 32000. Makes it a little over 2 million to clear the whole rift? That doesn't sound excessive at all. At all.

Technically the first 11 clouds after the tutorial are variable. I tried to plot them and they are close to exponential. Then at cloud 12 (2750 E) the add 250 starts.
There are 16 squares in the dock. 144 total squares sooo.
Cause I'm a chem/math nerd. You can calculate the clearing cost after cloud 11.
Cost to clear ether = ((total number of clouds cleared -11)x 250))+2750.
144(total squares)-16(dock)-11(variable)= 117
(117x 250 ) + 2750 = 32000

LOL! Are you sure.
I just finished my calculation and I get 35000 total to clear the Rift. But I could be off. However, either way it’s not that bad.

Oh come ooooonnnnn I have bred two Trick dragons today in the Rift and NEITHER of them are rift traited! Does this take a candy sacrifice or something?

With the demise of game centre I just started in FB to be able to friend people from this forum and join in on the fun. Please message me if you want to send a friend request so I know to watch for you😊, I never check FB otherwise. I'm deleting random requests way too many of those 😮.

Some very good nerding here. As a mild physics nerd myself, it looks to me that through your efforts here a whole new Ultraviolet Catastrophe has been averted and we can all breathe a sigh of relief. 😉
Slightly more on topic (though I may be blogging again) I summoned my 40th Rift habitat a couple of days ago, which caused a whole new mini game of "where do I clear to let me upgrade the most habitats to Regal" to start. It was a bit awkward to begin with: layout 2 made my initial Rift clearing a bit... diagonal. But it's improved now I've squared an end off a bit. 9/40 upgraded so far, the next clearing should let me upgrade 3 more; the one after will give a further 4. I think I have to go round the entrance island after that though, that's bound to ruin the efficiency again.
Also I've been replacing normal Hybrid pedestals with their Rifted counterparts and I'd really like some more storage tower space because I don't really want to sell the old eggs but don't particularly want to display them anywhere either.
