Can a dragon have multiple traits simultaneously or different traits one at a time?
When you unlock a trait for a type of dragon through breeding or buying it, it is available for each dragon of that type, but each dragon can only display one trait at a time. For instance, if you have metal and cold unlocked for rain dragons, you can select which single trait to assign an individual rain dragon out of those two available traits.
I am so sorry. I made a big misstake. I asked about plant eggs/peds and showed a Luminous.
My little question is: can I get a twin and a rift-egg of Plant?
oldsmol, when you look up dragons in the Dragonarium, you can see if a Rift version is available when it has a Rift symbol at the top of the frame. Light, as you can see, does not currently have a Rift version. 🐨🐉 image processing service

Rift timer is still set on pre-daylight savings time (one hour earlier to start and finish).

I have completed my goal of getting 1 of each Rift dragon!!! ALL 125!!! Some have multiple traits, some have only 1. Finally got Plasma by breeding Lightning Rift with Shimmer while RA was Water!!! And thanks to the DST double reset today, it only cost me 220 E!!!! In case some of you are wondering how I get the 125 total: 10 Elemental Rifts, 90 Hybrids, 13 Specials, Frostfluff and 11 Spookies.

I finally have an air trait shadow and a water trait mirage so I can breed Lacuna but I am only getting dark or light dragons not Lacuna. Is it normal to have to have multiple fails on a locked combo dragon?

So this post (above) made me wonder about what to try for on days when the alignment is not what I need for missing rift specials or rift house dragons; this is my second day of not breeding anything because other than the ones N/A /sbf and Arkynos have been kind enough to spell out ( pun) for us, I have no goals cos I still don't 'get' the rift. So, is an approach to simply work my way through every elemental dragon in the dragonarium? ( per kazooguyz2's post above) it just seems a waste to let days go by when the alignment doesn't suit, and not at least use those first few relatively cheap breeding opportunities... What thinkest the wise?

So: when I look up Fire in dragonarium, then select flower, its trait sign is greyed out, but I have a plant- trait flower, and if I toggle the rift sign, it shows. So then I go to Plant, look up flower, and the rift sign is still greyed out, but if I toggle it, it shows as plant..... I'm still confused as to how the dragonarium shows us what we've got, without toggling every traitable dragon ( sorry to be so dense, it's the miasmic ether clouds, I swear 😨

You don't have to wait for the 'perfect' alignment to breed although it helps. I just got my Lacuna and Kampos today and my rift alignment is fire. I mostly followed Steelbluefire guide and tips from many Valers here. (Thank you so much!) I started out going for Plumewing and Kampos breeding air and water rifts. Thought it would be easy. I got SO many rain dragons. I was so sick of it. I had to stop. Then I tried for Antumba, Ghast, Frostfluff and Thunderbird. I had relatively easier time getting them. I didn't have much luck breeding the hybrids with the trait I wanted on the day of the alignment. For example, I spent so many etheriums trying for malachite with light trait on the day of light alignment. So I stopped waiting and just bred malachite on any day with plant, metal or light alignment. (It's hard enough for me to breed these opposite hybrids. Let alone ones with proper traits. Koalas don't like my park.) So I saved 10,000 e to buy the light trait. I think there were only two hybrids out of six that I didn't have to spend 10,000 e each to change traits.
Lacuna was so difficult to breed. I kept getting non-rift light and dark dragon for so long...not even non-rift Mirage or Shadow. I thought I either got the wrong combos or my cave broke. Then I got a surprised Plumewing trying for Lacuna during plant alignment. Go figure. Today my rift has fire alignment and I finally bred Lacuna. After I got Lacuna I bred it with my water rift and after couple of tries I got the last rift dragon I needed, Kampos. My Dragonorium is breathing fire again!
I didn't breed all the rift hybrids. I just focused on the ones required for the locked combos. But sometimes I bred the rift hybrids I didn't need just to get out of boredom or to mix up my combos. Thought I read it somewhere that dragon God likes to give dragons you don't need (or pretend you don't need.)

Okay, I think Lacuna is going to be the last one I will try for.
Today I tried to close gaps on Rift exclusives I already had. Bred seconds and pedestals of Alpenglow and Antumbra. After I got seconds and bred like and like, the peds were easy.

There are only 7 pedestals that I am trying to get: Antumbra, Ghast, Lacuna, Kampos, Thunderbird, Viridian & Zaffer. So far, I have 5. Only need Viridian and Antumbra.

I just took a list of the Original 90 Hybrids and organized by Primary element. Whatever the Rift is aligned to became my Elemental Rift for the day; i.e. RA: Water, Water Rift was the dragon I used as Parent #1. The Parent #2 was any other primary Rift dragon. When starting out, there are 18 possible results. Keep in mind, sometimes you have to use a hybrid to breed with a Primary to get certain results (Water and Lightning, Earth and Air are opposites and can't be bred together.) Usually, within 5 breeds, I had both hybrids of that particular pair. I wasn't concerned with getting every trait for every dragon, I mainly wanted 1 of each dragon. As E production increases, I'll buy the remaining traits.

Got this blue fire again after my last twin Spirit Dragon. It seems the incomplete collection of the rift dragons does not affect the blue fire! SBF, waiting for you at the BlueFire Club!!
